Healer Confessions

Whenever I'm bored, I see how low I can let the tank's hp drop before I heal them back up to full. it takes some time to do it since I have to force the tank to spend hallowed ground/holmgang/living dead before I can do this.

So yes, as a healer, I take a lot of joy in shortening my tank's life span.

I'll sometimes bring up the internet menu while healing on Sch or Astro (in regen stance) when im bored and tired of dpsing.

Whenever my co-healer recasts Protect and SS after I've already visibly done it (and got everyone), I end up half-assing the fight and leave most of the work to them out of annoyance. It's a huge pet peeve I can't really explain.

And if a party member has a bad/ rude attitude and ends up going down... they don't get back up. :D

T13, 2nd phase, pillar + megaflare followed by rage of bahamut (WHM). The pillar appeared next to me, I went in, "yes, all fine, I got the pillar!" Of course I completely forgot about megaflare+rage of bahamut, no medica II precast, no cure III, wipe.

I confess I am not the best healer in the game. In mechanic heavy fights there are times when I am stance dancing that I forget to drop out of Cleric stance too heal. I also target the wrong person for healing more often then I can count, this mostly happens with tanks though...Sorry to the Tanks out there :(

I have macros for Cleric Stance ON > DPS Crossbar and Cleric Stance OFF > Healing Crossbar. Lost count on how many times the hotbar changed back to healing and Cleric Stance didn't turn off and I healed for like 5-10 seconds until I noticed the low numbers and asked myself if some of my equips were broken.

If DPS or tanks don't make an effort to move out of AOE, I just give them a regen even if they are at less than 1000 health. I also won't get rid of any ailment that they might have got.

It's usually pretty easy to tell if they are lagging.

Oh. Before a dungeon I fish for an Arrow or Balance card to spread it. I'm very used to having a card stored on spread. So if it's at the end of the fight and I didn't draw a good card, I RR it. But then during a fight, if I get Balance or Arrow, I'm so used to having it on spread, that I click the key bind for it and end up saving it when I didn't need to.

Makes me sad.

Oh, I forgot this: ranged DPS getting 3 stacks of poison on Totorak. WHY, just WHY.

When doing low level dungeons on my AST I just keep DPSing and heal with Essential Dignity
