Please consider changing the role of normal mode Alexander in future patches

I see this response a lot, and it's an honestly ignorant one, and I mean that in the least offensive way possible.

Quick insight: As a progression raider, you and your team take interest in maxing out the potential of your character/job. As a player, you are expected to bring all you can to the team to forward progression, so not having that 190 gear and "just waiting" is not really an option. It's kind of like saying "no need to run in that marathon, if you walk, you'll get there eventually." Not a bad mentality to have, don't get me wrong, it works for some people. But myself and hundreds of other like-minded raiders are sprinters.

Uh, it was endured and they moved on? No, you're being delusional again. It was bitched about so much that they changed it to what it is now, lol. Also...It was not like this for 2.xx so I'm not sure I follow, or you're confused.

Also, it's not so much an 'issue' as it is 'something I personally would like to see change'. I'm not sitting hear furiously typing about how I'm going to un-sub to the game if I don't get it my way.

Then the burnout is really your own fault.

You really are advocating effing over 200k+ people that cleared Alex so the small fraction of that in Savage wouldn't be sick of looking at it? Even if they did wait, you'd still be running it because it's a gear check and that "every edge" thing comes into play.

There's just no pleasing everyone.

I've probably been progression raiding longer than you have.

No one is "forcing" you to do anything.

Look at it as a test run (alpha) where SE is testing players...
1st try: title as reward
2nd try: gear as reward

And now SE is having numbers: i guess its proven that most just do it because to feel "better" than others and not because of challenge. (Just like MMOFPS rankings)

Other example: You just beaten CT1, now you are asking to make it so that no one other than you can beat it... you do not care if you have to farm it for gear because "you" can clear it anyway... if you need to farm 1 year for gear its no problem because you can clear it since beginning. It doesnt interest you if "others" have to farm 2 years when they need 1 year longer to clear it, as long as you have what you desire...

Its different if you make something hard and block most of the gamers from doing it or if you make something easy and a small part make it harder with challenging themself "speedrunning" or "undergeared" and such. What we have now is nothing more than a forced undergearing race, the problem is just that progress comes from gear and the only way to get is to clear alex savage... Well, in older days (Tabletop and MUDs) we have always found a way to challenge us without involving others because what is challenging me does not mean its a challenge for others! I wonder when did that change?

I wonder if any of the people who said you don't need the normal Alexander gear for Savage actually killed Faust on day one...

You don't though.

You can do it by sitting down, capping your tomes, waiting and getting esoteric gear, and sucking up that you didn't get a realm first kill.

I swear some of you want the cake after you've eaten it. You want to be first, you do things you don't like. You don't want to do those things? You wait on alternate methods. You don't advocate them pissing on a majority that they're trying to accommodate in a game designed from the ground up for them(casual gamers).
