I agree with a lot of this, but personally I'd prefer they keep the card system the same, mostly.
I mean, it's divination it should have a huge RNG element. None of the cards make or break any encounter in the game, so there is no reason why it should have a more fixed system for choosing the cards. It is fun to have an RNG system to the battle classes, I'm not sure why so many are against it. I guess some people prefer complete control over their class, but personally I think it's fun to have a little luck thrown in for good measure.
