I seriously wish this game had PvP

They ruined arenas by pushing people away from them with low rewards and massive grinding with also huge diferences on gear. Then they fixed the gear issues but added frontlines with better rewards leaving arenas almost obsolete but at the same time dooming frontlines with a horrible GC restriction that kills the queue.

It's sad because it felt like quite a lot of people like them but they refuse to fix the queue times so...

What annoys me of the current PvP system is that on FL the constant gimping of jobs, only one medica regen, swiftcast nerfed, shorter duration on debuffs etc etc. I understand that jobs might need some balancing but it also removes all the fun. They make it so that everyone has the same chance to beat any other job and I don't find it fair. In the end why don't they just let us enter all as carpenters and saw the sh*it out of other carpenters? I mean, why would you fear a blm? Well cause now the most dangerous thing he would do is sleepga... On the other hand if he still had his full swift with a flare, oh boy yes I would fear him. Oh ya, the LB...

So you are saying that not being able to kill certain jobs is fair instead you thik some jobs should be OP? If that was the case, I can imagine which ones you would pick..... Think you need to look up the definition of fair. If they make it so one job is stronger than others you get what happened in slaughter again, stacking one job.

on topic: When they advertised PvP at the start and mentioned PvP unique abilities, I thought that there would end up with 2 sets, where you could only use pvp skills in pvp and pve skills in pve which would make balancing a lot simpler as changing skills for one aspect would have no repercusions on the other.

No, what I mean is we should have the same abilities and traits as we have for PvE. We all play our jobs because we like them how they are and what they do, and nerfing them for PvP is in my opinion not right. Anther story is stacking same jobs for Slaughter, but that's the design of the specfic mode. What if we could only have 2 tanks (or one), 2 healers, and 4 dps (or 5)? And same restrictions as in Wolves' Den like only one or two ranged dps etc?

Edit 2: Also yes, I find it unfair that every job has the same chance to beat any other in the same way. I expect an archer to be shooting the cr*p out of ppl whilst moving around, but I also expect that if a lancer or dragoon gets to that bard, he would beat him. Same for blm, I'd run from a full flare, now I just stand since it's half potency anyways when swifted. Yes some jobs should have advantage over others and also a weakness, but not more than in PvE, and there should come in a duty restriction if needed. Because of course, an army of blm isn't fair either is it?

You will get many of those people to enter this thread sadly, I always see those type of replies in PvP threads lol. I agree though, I would love a fix because the current system is not working so great and they should see that by now. I love my variety so I'd like to mix my PvE time with PvP from time to time but I'm not going to wait in que for about an hour for one match if I'm lucky, its just a waste of time right now. The Grand Companies is a huge problem with the ques though according to most people, and I can see why too so hopefully that is addressed soon.
