P.S Runestones dont go in your loot list
They are lost forever if you have a full inventory when you pop the chest
Actually... as Gonks said, Runestones do NOT go into your Loot List if you have a full inventory. But they don't get thrown into some limbo world as people seem to think.
When you have a full inventory & click the chest & it contains a Runestone you get a message that clearly appears in your chat log stating "Unable to obtain Allagan Runestone - (Insert Name here) due to full inventory." You then just need to clear an inventory slot and re-click the chest to obtain the stone.
I had to do this when I happened to have full inventory.
If you had a chest that contained a stone the game would have told you to clear inventory and chest wouldn't have opened at all & depopped afterward.
Never mind someone else confirmed they do not going into your loot list if your inventory is full... so my idea wouldn't work. :D
I thought maybe it had fallen into someone else's loot lost and they either a) didn't see it or b) ninja looted ya lol. Was gonna tell ya to ask the people you partied with if maybe they had gotten them.
Thought it went to loot list its been a while but here's the next question did you even get any runestones in the first place....
I was in a rush with all the chat from LS and stuff i didn't even read if i obtained it or not i just saw the runestone name pop up and got excited when it was confirmed it was a Buccaneers body and the same for the sash. I don't understand why runestones don't get put into loot list when every item i have come across from chests does like the notorious grade 5 dark matter.
Many mmos have now adopted whats called and overflow bag. When your inventory is full your items get tossed into an overflow bag. The items stay there until you clear them out. Having items in an overflow bag stops you from being able to buy or trade items until you have managed the inventory.
FFXIV should adopt this ASAP. Its very easy to fill up on items and not even realize it in this game.
It's really not that hard to stay on top of your inventory, especially when it comes to runestones.
Basically something like this:
Yay! We finished the faction, there's the chest! *opens inventory* Either there's enough space, so you then open the chest. Or you're full and drop some items. THEN you open the chest.
Just slow down a bit.
