If we're talking about things we want that will never happen ... I'd like to be able to play on the side of the ascians and see the game from the perspective of the warrior of darkness.

1. Change hunts from an open world event to something that requires pop items in the open world, delivers unique drops, and can be done with a maximum of 1 full alliance
We have fates for that.
2. Add random mechanics to the hardest level raid that forces players to adapt
Why? People would leave in frustration because if you cant see it coming you can adjust to it. there is also other mechanics that have random paths like Bismark EX with weather.
3. Add extreme mode of 4 man content
People would think of being a cool idea, but it would be a burnt out idea like wow's challenger mode and no one would care anymore.
4. Add Alliance raid content similar to alexander, have story mode and savage modes
wow already stated the problem with that: More content excluded to big Free companies, hard to make a scheduale for, and a whole new level of balancing and loot adjustment. that FF already stated that they barely make the deadline with the content they are giving out now.
Storytelling that is less centered on the all-powerful Warrior of Light, and more on groups of adventurers. I know that sometimes they toss out a random explanation of "hey go get your mercenary friends to help with this..." but it's really, really jarring (especially with stuff like Ravana HM) where you've got this completely solo, single-player story driven game, inside the framework of an MMORPG, then suddenly break it up and go get help from people who are at least as strong as you, possibly stronger. Maybe we're kind of locked into this theme of the world having millions of separate timelines each saved by these different warriors of light, but it'd be really nice if other players, or NPC's representing the other players, would be represented in cutscenes and making defeating the big bad/moving the story forward be more co-operative, and less about the ego.
Time travel.
I want to see ruins in their heyday, like the Hinterlands. And springtime in Coerthas.
increase the max word requirement on the forum.
- Customized traits/abilities for specializing jobs
- Improved AI to make fights less scripted and more interesting
- A way to re-play content you have completed.
* I often race through side-quests for quick exp, but now I actually want to go back and enjoy some of those stories
* It would be awesome if side-quests were re playable for experience etc when you swap jobs
* I'd also like to go back and re-play some of the MSQ that I haven't experienced in forever
- In-game calendar that shows upcoming official events and where you can post events visible to FC only
- An ability to queue 'join in progress ONLY'
My only wish is for better composed cutscenes:
-Characters lack emotion even with the animations. They need more facial expressions and more natural body language, as well as smoother transitions between poses. They are too static. They do a pose then back to idle pose, instead of transitional poses. This makes them seem a bit lifeless.
-Camera work. The camera during cutscenes is too static. Most of the time they only use one or 2 types of camera shots, as well as camera angles. Out of focus would help the composition during cutscenes look even better but it's not necessary. Would be nice though! If the hardware permits it.
I think the reason why it's been hard for me to get into the story even though I try is because of how little I care about the characters and it's not because of a personal decision of not caring for them obviously! but because of the cinematography. It's amazing how these little things affect the impact it has on the viewer.
Oh, I guess I could add:
-Less exp dungeons. :( More interesting, less linear content like someone mentioned earlier: Nyzul.
I know we have to get the exp somehow, I just wish they added more interesting and fun ways to get it, dungeons get boring after a while. No one does leves for DoW, DoM and fates are not fun with bazillion people murdering everything in 5 seconds lol. I prefer old exp parties in open world but I know that's not going to happen so...
-Oh oh! And more content like the FC Workshop. I like having to work together with the FC to achieve something for once in the game! Now if they could do that for other than crafting... that would be cool. There is really no reason to be in an FC where you only play with 7 people in it because, restrictions. I would like end game content that has to involve the FC... instead of just Duty Finder'ing it. My FC tried to implement scheduled 24 man runs but it fell apart fast since everyone could just DF it. :/ There needs to be ways to help FC's become more united, imo.
