Crystal Tower runs are dieing.

As of Heavensward there is literally no point in running Crystal Tower, even for new players. Before Heavensward it was a fantastic way to gear up a fresh 50 for free, but now it is vastly more efficient to just keep leveling up after 50, get some gil to buy some i115 pieces and off you go into the brave new world of fresh content. You'd only run CT for glamour and the experience now, which arguably isn't always great anyway considering the sheer amount of griefing happening in the 24-man raids.

Personally I have been glad ever since the FCoB lockout was removed that I never have to do CT runs anymore lol.

The only reason to run CT is for glamours now. The gear itself is sub-par and not worth getting. If you're worried about Twines/Coats/Tomes, just make a party of seven and play the unsynced FCoB and see everything die at the speed of light.

That's still not worth going out of your way for. It's a 5ilvl difference from vendor gear and that's assuming you can farm the whole set, and then you still don't have accessories.

It is not efficient to get gear from ct. If you already had some it would last you a little bit, but there's no reason to farm gear at all at lvl 50 anymore. It used to be endgame; now it's not. Did you farm gear at lvl 40 to help you level? No. If you did would you have had slightly longer lasting leveling gear? Sure, but who cares? That's essentially all that lvl 50 is anymore.

Adding a few new cards to the Crystal Tower raids might help encourage more people to run them.

If they're going to keep CT Raids relevant(due to the freaking MB and unsynced with an i123, no less), they need to create a Raid(8-man) Roulette and a Raid(24-man) Roulette with decent rewards for HW players, such as 50 Laws and the normal amount of Poetics.

There are plenty of other ways to get comparable/better gear easier. It's not like early ARR where CT was an important stepping stone on the gear ladder because myth was capped. You can just run about every lvl50 dungeon from the high level roulette and get poetics to purchase better gear.

And still it's dated, because it's old. It's not a matter of when you joined, just how old the content is lol. That's true for every MMO: if you join after the first expansion and some major content patches are out, no one runs the old stuff anymore.

The only thing that bugs me is that there's two minions there. I have yet to get lucky with the Puff. Kinda wish they would make them drop from other instances or let us buy them with a currency.

I know the Three tower raids would be a lot more tempting to run for me if they droped EXP in addition to Gil. Then it'd be a hot spot for post 50 EXP farming.

Getting ilvl90 former Myth gear at end of lvl50 job quest pretty much killed any reason to do LotA... why why why???

The annoying thing to get around with these raids is the necessity for 24 players. There's just no way around the raid itself not requiring it. Atomos requires splitting the groups in 3 ways, Last boss in CT requires activating 3 pads with X number of bodies, ST requires pads with X number of bodies on Scylla, second boss requires killing the large machine adds, WoD requires splitting groups on Cerberus to get eaten and Atomos fight has another split. 24 people is hard to get, and you can't queue with more than 8 people. If I didn't need the pet and card from WoD I wouldn't care, but those things NEVER dropped for me and now they're pretty much a pipe dream.

That pet should have been 100% drop for a while.
