Nobody ever mention outpost warps. That would be another good reason how removing anima would still be different than 14. And yes I agree with you. Anima is pretty much a copy paste of Out Post Warps but at least Out Post Warps were only accessible through territorial control which was affected by the players activity within that specific area in a certain period of time. not all players had access to outpost warps my good friend.

Out Post Warps actually created content and had it's + and - .

Yeah, like Anima doesn't have any limitations to it? At least in XI you only had to pay a meaningless amount of gil so the downside were pretty much nonexistant when you got access to the teleports. Until then, have fun running between La Theine and Ronfaure with your level 15 job. Here everyone stands on an equal ground. You teleport too many times, you have no Anima and need to deal with it. You don't get away with having tons of cash.

And I'm sure the people with no access to OP warps for reasons pretty much outside their control were so happy about it. "Hey, look, Bastok simply sucks, and that's why you can't teleport anywhere. That's why the system is so brilliant man!"

I remember having to explain to my RL friends why I can teleport to Qufim and they need to take the chocobo because Bastok didn't have control over the region for like, 6 weeks in a row. So goddamn annoying.

Anima teleports you to the Aetheryte crystals only. You can only rent chocobos from cities for now. Airship travels between cities only for now. The game is no longer centered to guildleves which are activated at Aetheryte Crystals only.

Connect all those sentences and you will come up with: If all future content is not revolving around Leves (which is centered now to casual players) That probably means you will not be porting to Aethrytes that much if you are not casual player, grabbing a chocobo might be faster to reach your destination than teleporting and walking to the destination. Unless they add Aetheryte crystals to Beastman Strongholds and all future content, Anima and Teleporting will slowly fade out to be used by casual players doing Leves and rarely by hardcore players. Teleporting is not affecting anyone with anything, leave it alone.

Edit: Ah yes, Outpost Warps. Its great that we can take FFXI for reference for incredible systems, but please, leave XI to be XI, let FFXIV to come up with its own content, while amazingly cool that we have Beastman Strongholds (I love XI) its bad enough we have copied that already without a shred of distinction save the pretty new HD graphics.

I agree with your whole rage, there... but this just hits the nail on the head. This is the source of about 80% of the spirited debates around here. "I won't feel special until I have something you don't and the security to know that you, with your job and family and life, won't ever catch up to me." This is the world of MMO.

I said casually teleport, not transport. There lies the key.
As for casual playstyle, i just strongly disagree where you claimed Immersion doesn't matter due to end-game style content, Especially so in XIV where it has casual playstyle in mind.

I agree it's good and important to have wealth of options, i'm just saying, make it reasonable and logical. Making the game an insta-fest is not healthy for an MMO. Sure tele should be available, but have you earn it in some way, a tele spell is one way, if not through through spell or an npc, perhaps by getting to a crystal and teleporting from there. Although i personally like to see some creativity and a sense of accomplishment in earing a teleport, especially now with multiple forms of transport available.

You forgot to mention chocobo whistles. Not only can you grab chocobo at a stable from town, once you teleport to a atheryte you can call a faster chocobo. But why would you even do that? You can just teleport back to town and or teleport to the next aheryte.
Why spend 5 min running to the towns airship when you can spend 5 seconds teleporting to the next town.

Tell me why they added chocobo and airhsips again? I don't understand. What was the point?

I wish they would put an npc in game that would permanently take away all you anima forever for free for all the people taht dont want anima anymore.
