Galkas were "born" through reincarnation.
It could be argued that Galka are an agendered race that associates as male, seeing as they wouldn't biologically need a gender.

Strictly speaking a mono gendered race that 'summons' its dead back to life through ritual would probably work better as a more asexual race as in not identifying itself as a gender. After all gender really only matters in a bi gender race. A mono gendered race wouldn't really have a racial concept of gender.

While I do think the next race added should be more bestial, just for the sake of variety if nothing else, I don't think they will go anything really as obscure as a mono gendered playable race.

They could have the females look identical to males. Maybe different color options or something. Could save some development time and put that time to make headgear fit nicely. Although I'm more into avian races and walking aquatic races like Jinyu:

For those who don't get where the strawman came from, it's related to another thread where most beastial race suggestions got shot down because they are apparently hard to make or not popular enough to justify creating them (yet they still made Roes which less than 10% of players use).

I really don't want a gender exclusive race. I am hoping that Yoshi sticks to his guns and makes new races available for both genders.
Else it's a backwards step :)

i was following you till you dismissed the fact that female players yes indeed actually do want to play an attractive male character for personal eyecandy
gender specific races always frustrated me in any mmo lets just not.
beast races = yes
gender exclusive = no

You forgot the "too ugly, not cute" arguments as well. Everyone apparently wants to be cute in this game, which... ergh.
