i wait to see how feel the ninja, but i'm not sure i will stay with... depending of how the jobs is going i will probably stop playing it. the change are not what i was looking for... the add of positional is for me a huge let down.
especially with them escuse: it's the role of the main tank to attack from front... *sighs*

My main was always Dark Knight, I can't wait to finally play it.

I like the look of Astrologian, and I do intend to level all three of the new classes, but I don't think any of them will replace my current 'main' job which is White Mage. I've already decided that White Mage and Paladin should be the first jobs I hit level 60 with (the latter since I'm almost as well-geared as my WHM on it, and spent ages getting Excalibur for).
I view Machinist and Dark Knight more as novelty jobs. DPS classes are notoriously hard to use because of lengthy queue times, and from what little we know of Dark Knight it doesn't sound like my kind of job. My goal to level all classes is mostly to help fill time and give me a nice wide range of options in the future. Also, it's fun to level up.

Maybe?
I mean, WHM was my first level 50 job and the one I know the best. I've always felt kind of useless not being able to help my raid DPS very much in Final Coil (at least, not without me being really worried about something horrible happening and being stuck in that Cleric Stance cooldown, LOL). But they seem to be addressing that in the new expansion and I'm really looking forward to it.
However, AST looks super amazing. Their weapon looks fabulous and their animations are beautiful. I'm really interested in trying it out and it might be one of the first things I do when Heavensward comes out. But I am a little hesitant about the RNG, it is one of the big reasons why I don't like SCH. I like knowing that my Cure I are between 1.5-1.6k and my Cure II's are 2.5-2.6k. I work off that a lot. I don't like how SCH's don't know if their Aldo is going to crit and I don't know how I'll feel about not knowing what card I'll draw. But I will still try it out.
Will it replace my main? Who knows. Maybe.
But I do know I'm still gonna always be a healer. That much is never gonna change. :)

Depends on how much fun they are. I like my Pld, Whm, and Drg right now. I will be leveling them all though.

I'll be switching to Machinist on the 19th. It's looking to be the type of job that I usually go for in a game so unless I absolutely hate it on launch, I'll be maining it. I'll keep Nin as my melee alternative and smn/blm geared as well.

I've always been an altholic in other MMOs so I don't really understand the concept of a main, to me they're all main and I love them all and I want to play them. The upside of FF XIV is that you can play everything on one alt so I don't have to divide myself anymore to decide which alt I level up and play. I intend to keep playing my main, probably my BLM first because I find it easier to go through content and the storyline on that job with its numerous advantages (single target DPS, numerous targets DPS, CC like Sleep), and it's also the first I leveled up and did all of 2.X storylines on it. I'll probably level up my Ninja last because I'm really not happy about the addition of positional to current skills so I hope they will change it before I get to level it.
I was interested by the Machinist but with the latest news about the jobs, I don't like the ammos system and also that the turrets are not mobile but fixed. I was hoping to have permanent mechanical pets to follow me around, like my summon do when I'm on my Summoner - I love pet/summon classes - so I've changed my mind and I don't think I'll play it after all. The Dark Knight though sounds even more cooler after the latest infos so I'll probably level it up, but after I level up all my other jobs first (BLM, SMN, BRD, NIN, WAR).

Yes!
Switching to AST - Cards as a weapon are a big thing for me - and although you dont use the card as an actual weapon, its close enough for me :)

Going DRK in Heavensward, unless it plays like sh... but doubtful considering what we know so far. Feels like it's asking for more skill to get higher rewards out of it and that's always a nice thing. though i try to keep my BLM/SMN (current main) gear wise as close as possible
