What if the other BLM downgrades their gear so that it looks like anything special that drops is an upgrade? If I trade out my i130 shoes for i110 ones and then run WoD and i120 ones drop... someone else running with that class might have i120/130 Poetic tome shoes, and I could say 'Look it's an upgrade for me mine are only i110!' and if that player passes then they fall into my armory chest right next to my i130 shoes they don't know I have. But if we both want them for our retainer then we each have as valid of a claim on them as the other.Quote:

That's why I personally pass things I don't have use for, like all that i100 gear that drops from dungeons. There's a few notable items like the i100 Dex/Det/Crit ring that are an upgrade from a PVP perspective that I've rolled Need on (since Frontlines is lvl synced to i80) but I also told the party I grabbed it for my PVP loadout and I've passed the subsequent ones that dropped. I've seen a few i100 Mind/Crit/Det items there O would have loved to have had, and they weren't an upgrade for the healer unless they wanted them for PVP and odds are they didn't... they rolled Need, I accepted it and moved on... if a Healer or Tank Needs everything for desynth/seals then the other players see their odds of getting my commendation go up drastically, but I don't kick people who aren't breaking the rules.

Speaking of getting kicked, how's this story.... throughout an ST run a Dragoon in our party was griefing and annoying people in the party and alliance, constantly marking/remarking party and alliance members, etc. Someone in the party tried to vote dismiss them after a boss, it failed, I'm like WTF. Final boss they're still doing it, finally they mark me as Target to Attack 1 and I lose it on them. I'm like this is why you should vote Yes on vote dismiss.
Obviously I wasn't thinking at all, the reason the vote kick failed was because 4 of the party members were from the same FC and I think a 5th might have been with them since they all came from Excalibur. The tank had aggro on the boss and must have done something intentional to lose it because they did and the raid wiped. So I try to use my vote kick on the dragoon but I can't because it says a vote dismiss vote was already in progress. And the I got kicked.
Yep that's right, people who joined ST together were able to insulate one of their members from a vote kick and let them harass people as much as they wanted... and then those of us who didn't like that were the ones who got kicked at the last boss, perversely enough. I reported all of them, though I doubt SE did anything about it. IMO though vote kick shouldn't be usable as a harassment tool by people who preform part of the party that will always outweigh the rest.
Well I said they were an 'FC' I should have said they were a lolFC since I looked them up on lodestone and they only had like 8 members and not even a house. And since I own my own house (with a very profitable garden, and a couple of beautiful cherry trees blooming in the yard, my own material suppliers and mender, multi-use food placed as furnishing, etc) I just wanted to mention that here in case they ever read this. -

I got kicked from WoD where 6 from 8 of my party alliance which was made out of 6 F clients suddenly stood still and got locked out in front of first triple Garms fight.. Only me (BLM) and a healer went into battle.. A player from another alliance went raging on how could 6 players getting locked out, then i just said "They are French, they cant understand you" in alliance chat.. Then i got kicked...

It's getting pretty annoying in the big raids now where people form groups simply for the idea of trolling making up the majority or all of one party in the alliance so nobody can kick them. I can't understand why people pay a sub just to troll in game. Had runs where one group is doing everything they can to cause a wipe usually in LoA because it's the easiest to purposely wipe the party in then they pretend it's not them and that they will watch for the trolls when all they are doing is causing the wipes.
Also hate getting kicked for getting annoyed at the one causing wipes. Like some Summoner who keeps sending their pet in to aggro the boss before everyone is insane like "I do it because it's funny" and I'm like "No you do it to be a prick" then get kicked.
The GM's themselves i think their hands are tied because trolling on it's own isn't exactly it seems against any rules it's only when people make racist comments and stuff that they get any action taken against them and it's usually just put them in the GM jail for 10 minutes and have a GM give them a talking to. Which they find funny and something to brag about. Some people purposely abuse others fun to get in the GM jail and video it for youtube with commentary. It's no punishment. -

I don't get why some don't understand that needing it for seals or glamour is a need. If i can use it for something be it those things or my retainer then i will roll on it. You can ask me nicely if you are a new level 50 and need the gear as an upgrade to progress and I'll probably let you have what you need but no time for people who say nothing then start screaming at me because i needed on a chest for my retainer.Quote:

Well, I might need it for my retainers :-) Lets be honest, running a dungeon a couple of times for gear is part of the game. If you miss out one run, that is unfortunate, but you can do the run again. People are investing time, I think they also deserve the rewards they are due, whether it be seals/glam whatever. The longer you play the game, the more you will have to run content for equipment. How many WOD runs do you need to max out your gear? I don't even know about coil. I think its fair game IMO.

A player is not in the wrong for needing on gear that they have the ability to need on. If I'm not notified of a player seeking upgrades, I need on everything I can for seals.
