Because they have coordination on their side and they don't, so they don't play PVP? Makes complete sense. I don't see the logic behind this when people gather under the same banner and do the same exact thing. I PVP often and I've fought premades. Yes, it sucks to fight a coordinated team. Yes it sucks to have BOTH alliances push you back and out. **** happens. But know that Premades aren't unbeatable. People need to stop using this as an excuse. It actually depends on what the THIRD alliance plans on doing.

Where are they at?

I would love to try PvP but I just don't have the patience to queue for over an hour.

When I played WoW, PVP battlegrounds were my favourite part of the game and I miss it.

You speak as though premades don't exist in a single GC, they do. With it set up like this, if you're in a losing GC you're pretty much screwed unless you can switch GC. Plus a LOT of people in PvP want to play with your friends. To be honest, improving PvP could only benefit SE, as when some hardcore players run out of things to do, they can PvP to pass the time. PvP definitely seems to be an afterthought here, which surprises me a bit considering how Yoshida had listed DAoC among his favorite games.

If there is one thing I've learned from 15 years of playing MMOs, it's that restricting people's options is usually a bad thing. Regardless of whether you like this GC restriction or not, it's pretty much responsible for PvP queues being an hour long.

It's unfortunate, but the state of PVP is not going to be fixed for a while. Likely not until the patch after the expansion release.

It's a long time to wait for the change, but I don't see them giving it what it needs until then, unfortunately.

And that's fine. I think most people have stuck with it thus far. It's just -- let us know that you're aware and at least thinking of how to manage the issue. SE is great with FFXIV communication. It's worrisome that they haven't mentioned something.

Remove the Grand Company restriction & shorten the PVP match length. Add a server wide Leader Board that resets weekly with most wins, most kills, most healing done.

They also need to add assists to this game

I'm gonna give this thread some love because I cannot stand PvP as it is right now~ There is so much they could do... but it just seems like a really sad part of the game right now.

Hell, at this rate, it needs to be lengthened. You wait 45mins+ for a queue, damn match ends in about 10 minutes. There is a lot that needs to be done.

2. Add Leader Board.
3. ADD ASSISTS, PLEASE! This should of been done AGES ago.
4. GC removal...remove it and I guess they can just make random names for funsies.
Team: Moogle/Chocobo/Tonberry or whatever and people just queue up from there with their friends.
PvP is so boring though...All in mid, then TRY and kill people, and fight over nodes. Go back save your manor things, return. I dunno I just think
PvP in this game is not all that good to start with. Get slept, BLM/SMN kills you in successions of LB's.
It really needs more flavour...nothing to say about Wolve's Den, I hate that place. SOOOO boring.
