Half of those pages came from people who didnt beat it on the FIRST DAY so they had to scream nerf cause it forced them to actually do something to beat it.

On topic, if you ilvl desync garuda down to AF then there will be alot less people running it and for those who dont have friends or fc to rely on and has to use DF they could either wait 10-30 min and get the kill in 3-5 min like it is today.

Or spend 50+ min waiting for DF to pop only to watch people ragequit after 1 wipe cause it wasnt a one shot.

If there truly is such a large amount of players that wants to experiance the fight with original gear at its original difficulty then im sure getting a party togheter using the PF or otherwise wouldnt be that hard.

I remember doing Trial Roulette one day after a patch, getting Garuda HM, and thinking "Hmm why are these people all playing like total a-holes?" when they pulled her straight through the center before a protect cast could go off and I was the only one who bothered to LOS her first Mistral Shriek behind a stone pillar. Then one of my FC people told me about the whole light farming thing and I'm like Ohhhhh- so THAT's why people are playing like total a-holes!

You call them a-holes, but it's really nothing personal.
Due to the nature of light farming, speedrunning short fights with a zombie-like mindset is just the de facto way of doing it.

Have you killed her 200 times or so for your relic? Honestly, direct that attitude towards the people who thought 500 hm primals or only 250 on bonus was a good idea.

The community is merely reacting to that.

Ilvl sync for such trials should alow only +10ilvl above the ilvl requirement of duty. That would make every trial more enjoyable but it would also bring many problems. 1st it will be weird that a hero, who has killed so many enemies has problem killing a primal he bested x years ago. Also many people would stop doing the trials and newbies will have even longer queues and bad players won't be able to hide behind their gear. :D

I think he meant "A-holes" in a different way than you're taking it. I kinda read it as "players goofing off". In much the same way, that the meaning of "jerk" has evolved over the years.

Sorry, I prob was < clear on that one. I wasn't saying the players themselves were a-holes, what I meant is that it first seemed that way based upon their play style- but once I understood it in the context of the light farm grind people were having to do, it made sense. Basically the system was forcing people into a playstyle that was different than what I was unaccustomed to (pull before Protect cast for example) and it wasn't about the people so much.

I personally think level syncing all content is something that should be standard fare. Some duties now are simply silly and certainly don't provide the challenge they once did. And yes newbies shouldn't have to be faced with anything other than how the dungeons were intended to be run.

And how much of a challange do you think Garuda Hm would provide for 8 players that has done it 100 times, AF gear or not it wont make the fight harder for them, it will only make it last longer.

Certainly more than running it with no synced gear etc. Raids like CT and Garuda are certainly more than silly and really they aren't much fun from those of us who ran them before let alone new players who haven't. Sorry but the speed runners shouldn't be the ones running the content or making those decisions because they want to get everything done as fast as possible.
