there is a 3rd post today (well yesterday) but it's just the same info about airships being instant travel with CS in the upcoming patch and will have a complete travel with possible content later on.

I think they did answer that specific questins with : " In regards to the crafting, it will still be possible to craft +1/+2 items after 1.19. The new HQ system will be applied to the crafting after with patch 1.20 and more details will be announced then."

If items +1 +2 items will dissapear with crafting on 1.20 then its safe to assume thats when they will reveal what will happen to the existing items.

For this yes, but the OP was wondering if +2 will be NQ or HQ, if they will be converted or just disappear with time.

One could argue that it implies +1/+2 will be removed, +3 will be converted to "HQ". But will existing +1/+2 items end up in a specific quality category or remain as +1/+2 for eternity? THAT we do not yet know.

This isn't major info, but following recent dev comment that there will be special events for airships, a french player asked if similar events are planned for the boat ride.

Dev confirmed that they're also planning boat events.

And another info that has already sunk in the 2nd page of the dev.tracker :

We already know that the instant travel is temporary as it was confirmed multiple times and that further down the line we might get the choice to either fast travel or actually ride the airship for events/quests etc.
