There is no space in this skin-tight costume to hide the tail
SE should add tail slits again to the gears, like they did during 1.x

(the right one)
Something else I find dumb is that the tail color cannot be set separately from the hair color. That is nothing but dumb, and should be fixed as soon as possible.
The ghost outfit covers the tail completely and would leave it comfortably hanging beneath the robes. In the chocobo set pictured above you'd have to forcefully shove a tail with lots of bones in it into a confined space. It would be incredibly uncomfortable for the wearer and therefore completely unrealistic.
These are cats after all. You can't just shove the tail into a confined space. This wouldn't work.
They could make better outlets like better slits in the gear for the tail, but simply hiding it will not do.
Seems quite reasonable. Most animals share a hair coloring/pattern on their whole body. Not just piece meal one hair color per body part. Seems based in reality and your "fix" is based in fantasy.
Umm... Yeah, I'm going to go with no.

Back when I was a miqo'te, I finally had to change my glamour because that looked so absolutely painful D: Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to have the tail sticking out four ilms to the left/right of the opening for it?
Edit:
Yeah >.< And especially the liontail-looking one. Even no individual settings for tail colour, how hard would it have been to code the "naked" part of the tail to conform to skincolour and the tuft to haircolour?
Erm....how is that dumb?
The tail isn't "naked", it's just short hair. Have you ever seen a lion or at least a photo? The tuft is a darker shade of the chosen hair color.
Tail hair is your natural hair color. Obviously it would be your head hair color. Having tail colored seperately from head hair is ugly and tacky. Square Enix is doing you a favor.
We're not lemurs, we're cats. We don't need tacky patterns on our tails to alert others of our presence.
Technically you could dye the fur on your tail a different color then your hair, just like there are many unnatural hair colors you can pick. I think they went with tail color same as hair for simplicity sake.
