There's just really no excuse. You could have (for example) ordered a digital copy of FFXIV from Amazon.com and the key would have been delivered to you *immediately*. Digital River, on the other hand, can take several days to "verify" your billing before providing you with a key, and it's ridiculously difficult to cancel your order with them.

I keep hearing this from people, every time I've ordered from them though, I get my items ahead of the shipping date though O_o. Weird.

I had about the same thing happen to me. My card got charged but I never received my order. I contacted SE, they told me that they never charged me and to try to buy the item again. I never ended up getting my money back. To this day I can see the charge. It happened about three months ago.

After sending in a bunch of complaints they told me that they "canceled" my order (wink wink) because my SE account's address didn't match my prepaid visa's address. Found out that my SE account had my old address. Fixed it. Still pissed though, never going to try to buy something off their official site again. Not worth it.
