When and IF new races come out

I think it's more likely that Yoshida-san meant "playable" races. But since he didn't say that specifically I won't get my hopes up. XD
But yeah, it'd be an epic troll to say "Sure we'll add more races," in a thread full of people asking for "playable" races, and then having them not be so. lol

he said they be "playable" why would he say he giving out a free race change when the ps3 come out if they wont be "playable"? got to use your head :)

It seems you're talking about something else. We weren't talking about the missing genders.
We already know that the missing genders will be playable.

We were talking about brand new races being added in the future. Where Yoshida-san only said they would be added. Nothing about playable or not. Again, here:

What I was saying was.. although it is likely Yoshida-san meant that new races would be playable.. (since the thread Bayohne quoted him in was speaking of playable races.. see here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...681#post297681), it's still not a good idea to assume anything either way.

Edit: Since you brought up the missing genders, I have not seen Yoshida-san say anything more about being able to change gender/race when they're added at PS3 release. Only that he was looking into the possibility. May I please have a link to where you claim he said it was a sure thing?

They want to add race that are unique to eorzea which sound nice. I think they be playable but i don't think they allow other face switch lol.
