Each year on April they gone a bit further with the "Viangaa" Theme!
Somehow its getting old, but because last year they have done the 3D-model and the this year halloween event (testing transformations) i expect them to transform everyone into a Viangaa on April 2015 :)

they do not implement "what got the most votes" its just an orientation for them.. in the end it should be the decision of the developer and not us..

and we already do have succubus monsters in this game..[Haukke Mannor (easy/hardmode)] a succubus is a demon who tries to seduce/mislead male humans. would be quiet odd to have this as a playable race. but my intention is you like to play half naked females, eh? XD (you should try Lineage II out with dark elves and kamaels (winged race) )

and a winged race is very cheesy to me personally. but each to his own. And yes. we receive a complete new race, which has nothing to do with those common races such as "elves", "Dwarf" etc. etc.

Actually...

In the current patch story they talk of Shiva's 'crime'. Given what usually happens (whether possible or not) when one commits such an act it's highly possible that Yugiri's race is Shiva's progeny.

Getting down with a dragon, and then producing an offspring? My forays in fur affinity has shown me that it is indeed possible for that to happen.

Whatever it is, at least it's not a kung fu panda.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'd already figured something along those lines was the case anyway because of the tail, but this slaps a bit of cement on it I think. And actually, something else that came to mind(take with a few metric tons of salt):

Remember how Garuda mentions "her" stench on Gaius? I'd figured she mean Shiva since ice beats wind in the elemental wheel, but it didn't quite add up since the Garleans weren't worshiping her. What if there was some sort of odd split, where Domans are offspring that got reptilian features, while Garleans are ones that looked mostly human but ended up getting that third eye instead?

With regard to the Garuda/Gaius comment in the post above this one...(spoiler below)

Her stench is Zodiark, patron deity of the Ascians, of that I am quite sure. We have had no reason given as to why Shiva and Gaius would have met so they probably have not but we do know Gaius has been working with the Ascians of which could of brought Gaius into contact with Zodiarks taint/corruption. Regarding the 'she' part, much like Hydaelyn's voice is female my belief is both Hydaelyn and Zodiark are female as they are probably two sides of the same coin metaphorically...a single entity once upon a time that split in two separating into light and dark so if Hydaelyn is female then so would Zodiark be in my opinion.
