Thats really for the individual player to decide on their own.
i for one, would love to have the option

I like the current system very much though perhaps a rework of costs would be beneficial.
I like rings, they be shiny!
Most of us are Westerners, after all. Fashionable consumption and excessive decoration should be obligatory. ;)
Anyway, I'd oppose because the slot costs help balance the boosts we get from gear. If we WoWify this, either we inherently WoWify the game, or the devs will have to nerf us in other ways or make the mobs harder. The latter may sound fun, but I'd rather not *require* that people have fully decked out fingers, ears, and neck in order to compete.
It doesn't really go like that. Under your system, higher ranked gear is equally effective. But under the actual system, higher ranked gear is less effective.
Using your example of accuracy rings:
4 brass rings (r18) give +12 Accuracy, and take up 8 slots.
3 silver rings (r28) give +12 Accuracy, and take up 9 slots
2 electrum rings (r48) give +10 Accuracy, and take up 8 slots.
So as you level up, the cost-benefit of each ring gets worse. You're better off wearing the lowest level gear.
I feel that under the current system.
Raw stats and rings are much more useful than wrist/ear/neck.
I can wear a ring. Optimal Rank 32. Giving me +5 Dex.
That's a total of 20 Dex for the cost of 12 Slot Cost.
Or I can wear a Choker. Optimal Rank 42. Giving me +3 Dex
That's one slot. Giving me +3 Dex; for 4 Slot Cost.
Under the current system. I have no reason to wear that neck piece as I get more raw base stats from stacking rings. That essentially makes that slot useless ._.;
Perhaps new accessories would fix this?
But is an added +3Dex on your neck really game breaking when you have +20 Dex on your rings?
As a result of development team discussions, they have decided to eliminate accessory points.
In conjunction with this, we will be lowering the amount of accessories that can be equipped and increasing each accessory’s effects.
Yoshi-P will be giving some more details on this in the very near future, so please look forward to it.
