I would say:
Samurai - Tank
Dark Knight - DPS
Time Mage - Healer
Red Mage - DPS

the art book hint us a class/jobs using a rapier

finally we know that 1 healer and tank are coming with the expansion.
Yoshi said a tank and a healer for 3.0. Although he didn't specify if class or job.

...also, I'd settle for a Rune Knight like Celes from FFVI or a Chemist might be fun.

Geomancer. DPS offshoot that builds from CNJ, with THM as the secondary. Geomancers traditionally have attacks that change depending on where they are fighting, but in FFXIV, I suggest that they instead use AOE based skills, modifying the field around mobs and allies to increase/decrease certain types of skills and stats. IE, one skill makes melee more effective, another could bolster tank defense, one poisons any enemy in the field, etc. They could act as a foil to bards and their songs, but more powerful as a support, less powerful as a straight DPS.
Generally have low attack potency, but has access to CNJ's healing skills, much like Summoner have Arcanist heals and DOTs. Mana management is on par with WHM.
Uses wands like CNJ/THM, and their top tier weapons are bell-like to match old Geomancer themes.
I just.... really want this class and job....
My guesses would be:
Dark Knight: slow+heavy dps or tank.
Samurai: Tank. Like war but with random auto counter and higher crit stat.
Mechanic or Hunter: support dps (think tactics gun abilities)
Mystic Knight: elemental DPS + magic buff
Dancer: Fast & light Dps
Shaman/Geo/Green: Healer
Time Mage: Support dps with enfeebles.
Sage/Magus: Master of all Deciples of magic.
GodbertOnion Knight: Master of all deciples War
Godbert: Master of all Deciples of Hand
I really can see a Onion Knight and Sage as being a non upgradable class', with the abilities of a job. They'd have 8 or 10 slots and traits based on the combination of cross class abilities chosen. But that might be getting off topic..
Expecting 1 Tank, 1 or 2 DPS, 1 Healer

Musketeer > Corsair (?) Healer with guns? DPS?
Fencer > Red Mage (?) DPS? Healer? HYBRID SUPPORT?!
