Ideas on how they can fix these horrible PvP queues?

My idea is to give an adequate amount of seals in order to make both contents balanced, not to substitute one or the other. Also, by giving the highest amount of seals to the team in first place you'd prevent having any leechers as everyone would try to fight hard in order to get the full reward.

P.S. The GC gear you can get by spending Allied Seals IS GC-unique.

well damn. guess there's no running from it. the other day i waited more than 3 hours solo for a FL pop from noon to 3pm and it never materialized. last night queued duos for 4 hours, got 1 pop, 72man and not only did i get grouped with tards but we only had 48 players on our team, Maelstrom. i just quit the game and went to bed. i can't honestly believe the df couldn't find us 8 more people. it wasn't even a fail premade group, group C just never loaded while Adders and Flames had their 24 players. nuts.

Trust me, I read your post, but apparently you didnt read mine. Even by losing every single match they played, they are still getting more seals than acutally doing the hunt for S and A rank. You are getting leechers.

If your suggestion is tie allied seals to the combat journals, that may works too. 20 Allied seals for every 10 victories seems fair and more leecher proof, but your suggestion is not.

I will not stop you to trying in your own thread tho, but this thread is about fix horriable PvP que, and I dont think allied seals is the answer.

Give cosmatic reward (ex. FF7 character costumes) and make it tie to PvP achivment seems a better solution.

He also add that his que time is nw 5 min after switch to Twin Adder compare to 30 mins in Malestorm. He thinks too many people are hording in Malestrom and looking forward to see the result of FF14 Census.

Honestly, cosmetic reward isn't exactly enough, is it? That's the main reward now with the mostly awesome ilvl 100 PVP gear and the special GC mount.

Hopefully, there will be some new things in 2.38, or at the latest, 2.4 in regard to PVP.

Comsmetic reward is just an exmaple, doesnt need to be it. It just need to be a reward that people really want and tied to the achivment. It need to provide player a motivation to continue playing. Each GC reward also need to be unique to pevent people horde in certain one like Malestorm. Mount from 100 victories already proven not strong enough to make people to pursue it. You need something stronger, that is why I am using FF7 character custome as example.

If you see someone glamour in Cloud Strife's custome on your server, what would be your first reaction? When you find out that this custome is only avaiable from the Frontline and only obtainable from 500 victories achievement, what would you do? If you put Zack to Flame and Sephiroth to Twin Adders, do you think people will still hording to Malestorm?

Honestly I don't think that many people would really care about such costumes, there are already lots of similiar rewards (tank and primal mounts, titles, crowns and crafting tools from achievements, etc.) but very few people do actually try to obtain them, at least on my server, as they require a huge amount of time and their only purpose is to have other people say "oh that's cool" and then forget about it 2 seconds later.

99% of players are mainly interested in PVE rewards that make you "stronger" and that help you clear other PVE content (PVE is the main attraction of this game after all), so I think that these kind of rewards are simply the best way to draw people back to PVP.

Given the queues, how is it reasonably possible to participate in PVP at all? I'd love to work on gaining ranks but waiting 30 minutes or so each match has made that impossible. :( Is there something I'm not understanding about this system? Do I need to find a PVP linkshell/free company? Is there anything I can do to make PVP not so completely inaccessible?

i have heard people claim that going a full 8man premade gives faster pops but there is no guarantee on that. but ya, i agree. usually i am on ffxiv everyday jus for pvp but i havent even logged in for the last 4 days. i've logged on a few hours at night, get no q and just logout. i jus cant take the infinite waiting anymore

No, I am talking about WD queues not FL. I logged on a JP server the other day to ask what queue times were for WD, and the wait time was more than 30 minutes.
