May the odds be ever in your favor.
TY so much for your responses. I feels good to not be alone in the situation. I wish you guys well and fear the worst is upon us if the info is true. WE now have very little chance of getting a Tier IV materia which will only make matters worse for Novus and the crafting/gathering melds too. I truly hope that it's not just 10% chance but something much higher.
I'm pretty sure all materia moguls greasing their palms and laughing maniacally in the background atm
I only need 3 more IV Savage Might's to cap my det on my Thyrus scroll but with this update, I think I'll just focus on putting the rest into crit for my WHM - at least that way it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper, considering I'll only be going into III for that, considering yesterday SM IV was 550k'ish and at the weekend just gone 800k...
The new fastest way to get a tier 4: levelling a new character thru storyline.
They didn't say 45/49 gear won't drop tier IV or conversion rate reduced.
And (at least in french patch notes) they say if you are in the appropriate level (instance/mobs) for your gear the spiritbonding will be faster.
In the english patch notes it is in the example.
English :
French (blue zone is "On the other hand, the spiritbond (of the gear) that matches the surrounding level (area/content) will be easier"):Quote:
The rate at which gear gains spiritbond will now be reduced when gear is not the appropriate level for a given duty or open-world encounter. Furthermore, if the item level of gear is too high or too low, it will no longer gain spiritbond.
As I see it, if conversion rate the same, you spiritbond faster anyways :)Quote:
Les équipements dont le niveau d’objet est très éloigné de celui de l’instance ou des monstres de la zone ouverte voient leur taux de symbiose monter plus difficilement. Inversement, la symbiose de ceux qui correspondent au niveau environnant se fera plus facilement.
À partir d’un certain écart de niveau, le taux de symbiose des équipements n’augmente plus.
