my FC does Pieste skin maps as a weekly event (so around 50-60 maps a week) and we have been doing so since 2.1 as well.

One.

We have seen only ONE blue bird. (which is mine :D )
But yea, I can speak for my FC when I say we agree the drop rate of the bird is stupid low.

I don't think I've hit 1 million gil from leves yet XD
10 million seems really far away... sort of wondering how many leves it would take minimum if you only do like triple-turnin crafting leves.

So you got 5m worth for map but aren't willing to spend 2m for a minion?

at least the 100 million gil achievements from 1.0 are gone and archived now. So that should be a bit relieve. lol

Peiste maps must be really cheap in your server, here they wander around 30k, pretty hard to get your money back unless you get lucky.

But where I'm getting at is, if the income is positive then OP got enough gil from those maps to buy the minion directly, if the income is negative then OP should consider selling the maps instead and buying the minion directly.

I understand the bigger picture and I agree that it's ridiculous to keep vanity gated behind an RNG based grind wall, but for OP's specific case I think it's time to make use of the marketboard, at least this vanity item is tradeable, unlike others.

Just out of interest, what's the minimum amount of people (Lvl 50) needed to defeat Peisteskin map mobs? I was in a group of 4 and they went down real easy, especially the unhidden map mobs. I find it hard to get a treasure hunt group together so was wondering how few people needed.

You must be joking. Limiting the maps is part of HOW they make it rare. Not to mention, the minions are a bonus. As for the achievement, it's a long term goal. Key words, Long Term. It's not intended to be completed in just a few months. So, yes, "seriously".
