And even though it's been reset, if you just attack it like normal from 100%-0% in your party of 8 you WILL get full credit, maybe a light party of 4-5 will only get partial credit if there is a crowd of 30-40 people but an 8-man party it is VERY difficult to only get partial rewards, hell I've had half our party die from 20,000 needles and the rest carry on attacking and we still get 20 Seals each, and that's with 35-40 sometimes even 50+ people swarming it.

And yes we've had resets happen as well and we still always get full rewards because we're still there, and still attacking it, quit crying.

On our server we have several hundred people doing hunts across the server. Not 30-40 each mark but 100-250.

While we are on the topic of resetting, two guys on Ultros spent like 5 minutes resetting Maahes just to screw with everyone. Never been so pissed off before. Also it skews everyones rewards.

We get those sorts of numbers at peak times of the day, still get our proper rewards in full beefed up parties, I think 250 is a little exaggerated though, unless you're talking S Ranks that will fade in and out of existence because of it.

uve never done a hunt then whn there is a giant train of ppl im taking it, mayb u have been more ucky thn my grps have but we always end up with 2 seals out of a 20 seal huntafter pplg and reset it, it just dies so fast tht we dont get any real reward

Our B ranks fade in and out of existence..... S rank is extremely difficult to even see once before it dies. And saying "only at peak hours" doesn't change a thing because some people can only play on peak hours.

Believe me I have, although it is pretty cool seeing a stampede of people running through Coerthas for Marraco for instance.

If you guys are having trouble getting full credit in a full party, your party doesn't have enough WHMs. I hunt almost exclusively as a WHM and it's so darn easy to get max credit just by spamming Medica a few times, even if I can't see the mob.

Hey! The group also looks for the marks (they don't just wait in town! actively searching!), and some folks also theorize and try to predict them based on collated information from each kill. So, there's that!

This is always going to happen, because while the hunt group is very large, it's not all inclusive. There are going to be a large number of folks who just show up randomly because there was a shout and have to interest in actively pursuing marks - so things will get "fun" in shout with many disparate groups and solos coming together on an S rank that will in no way survive nearly as long as Odin/Behemoth (which is what these folks outside the hunt group are used to - so of course they'll be mad if it's pulled before they get there).

It's always possible that folks who are running with the hunt group themselves get angry in shout (bad form, to be sure), but from what I've observed of the leaders they seem to recognize that if someone else pulls the monster, that's just how it is. They only get upset if folks in the hunt group itself pull early, etc. They try to make it to every mark, but that doesn't mean they feel they are entitled to every mark. They search/compete to get to it, and they also openly invite everyone who wants to join to join.

As a group, they are much friendlier than suggested in this thread, to be sure.

What is fair is that the party that found it fights it and kills it. Not that they shout and wait for the mob and risk not getting any credit (or partial credit). If others come they do. I agree 100%. That said, the fact that they didn't realize this is what would happen is kind of deplorable. I'm not sure how this kind of miscalculation is even possible, on the part of the dev team. Did they really think this content wouldn't be desired, and people would just kind of happen upon it randomly instead of focusing it down like they have been? Hahaha.

I should feel lucky then considering we have twice the population of Excalibur, but not all Phoenix peeps rely on just hunts.
