If they interweave the references into the ffiv world I'm all for it! I like crystal tower for the throwbacks and would love to see more of the ffv ones added in (can't believe I missed some)! I just finished replaying ffv last week ... It should all be fresh for me too!
Some things I don't want is more cross over stuff like the lightning event. It just felt out of place and thrown in. Also I as much as I love the most popular titles ffvi and ffvii (I actually don't like ffvii too much), I think if prefer them to have references to the more obscure titles. I have a feeling I might cringe to see a Kefka battle added (and please no Sephiroth!). Need more excalipoor!

Lol, just to add my voice to the list of people who apparently didn't make the connection, until you mentioned it, had not even connected the dots :)
+1 to the idea of getting a FFV dungeon :)

bosses of the third Crystal tower, Omega, then go to cutscene of Cid opening a chest...aaaannndd here's Shinryu
-
Better idea than having Cid open the Chest, have a chest spawn in one of the boss rooms after you beat the boss. Open it, and then SHinryu can spawn.

Now the CT arc is finished.
waiting for the Interdimensional Rift raid. :D

To the original topic. I would definitely like to see more throwback content like CT.
I would love to see the Tower of Babil from 4, complete with the 4 Fiends and Magus Sisters as bosses, but I would prefer if it was implemented sort of like a reverse tower that extends down into a subterranean chasm or world, just like in 4 but you work your way down instead of up.
Another interesting reference dungeon could be an underwater Garlean base as a reference to the underwater base from 7. It could potentially end with the final boss being Emerald Weapon.
Also, on the same line of thought. I would then love to see a Garlean base/excavation site somewhere in the desert that has Ruby Weapon as the final boss.
The idea for the lost island raid as a reference to 5 was a great idea. *thumbs up*

a cool idea if they did another Crystal tower would be if the path split, but you had to kill 3 bosses and you can only have 8 people in the fight (the bosses gaining damage +1 per extra person) but all 3 of the bosses are different it would be fun and keep people on there toes to remember what mechanics the boss has (with a combined hp pull so they will all die at the same time so there isn't any trolling.)

The next casual raid should be the Interdimensional Rifts!!
