It's no secret that they'll be looking at adjusting Garuda so that we can use other Egis but you're kidding yourself if you think that people won't just switch to the next strongest Egi after and stick to that.
More interaction is not always a good thing and since you wanted to compare to WoW, let's go ahead and do so. In Cataclysm, Warlocks had a really good interaction with the Felhound due to the pet's main attack doing more damage with the amount of DoTs on the target. Good idea on paper. Want to know how it went for the pet after it was deemed pretty powerful ? (Hint: Not so good)
The thing is that the pet already does a decent chunk of damage and altering the gameplay for the same amount of damage just so that the vocal minority feel better about themselves being summoner is not a thing that should be done if the majority of the people are fine with how it currently is.
Well obviously the developers aren't fine with the way things are, or they wouldn't be taking a second look. Until we see what plans they have, there's no harm in discussing what they may change within reason.
In my personal opinion, if they find a problem with players gravitating to a single Egi, then answer lies in adjusting the gameplay to give players incentive to change periodically.
They're personally not fine with Garuda being the go-to egi in all situations and Tri-Disaster being useless. I'd hardly call that taking a second look at the class. It's called balancing and it's being done in every MMORPG and on nearly all classes throughout the game's life.

I'm not allowed to express my thoughts and have fun conversations then? No one is forcing anyone to notice these threads, if you see them and go into them to comment about how you've seen too many of them, I didn't make you click on it. It's easy to just not click on the titles.
If it's typed in a thread that is active and it's a worthwhile idea, people will discuss it. If it isn't discussed, then it probably wasn't good enough, Not everyone's idea is so special that they should all warrant their own threads, especially about something that has been beaten to dead, resurrected and beaten to dead again.
