Today i throw away all the atma

All you jerks that are slamming the OP should push back from the keyyboard and take a breath. I applaud the OP who is making a very pointed protest action which I hope SE developers notice.

The only people that have benefited from this latest addition to the Relic quest are the gil sellers who will gladly sell you the many millions of gil required to get the materia necessary to fulfill this quest. Good job SE!

He made the decision to get ATMA and he made the decision to throw them away. SE has already come out and stated that ATMA is just one of many paths... so, he did what SE offered; to do something else. This isn't so much a protest as it is complying with the structure of the game and what it has to offer. On the note of materia, people can spiritbond and make their own materia. Or run dungeon dailies and meet the adventurer in need requirements to roll in gil. Anyone stupid enough to buy from a gil seller to get materia deserves the ban they get.

SE is still not going to just give you the relic atma/animus/novus without you doing anything to get it though.
Probably make the ATMA's purchasable through tomes or GC seals.
Price for books for animus not going to change (may change currency and scale accordingly), but less work will be required to get them.

I'm well aware that you can SB to get materia. I've been doing that for a long time to get all of the TIII crafting materia I need to update my 8 DoH off hand tools to meet the new requirements of 3 star crafting. Tier IV materia runs about 5% or so and, of course, is random with regard to what you actually get. For crafting materia, it's not that bad because the gear converts to only 1 of 3 materia options. With regular gear, conversion is random over many more options, including all of the (useless) elementals. So, very few of the unwanted TIV that you get will be sellable for any significant amount of gil which could be used to buy the ones that you do need. I'll probably continue SB'ing crafting materia and selling those then buying the ones that I need.

The point is, the extreme grind, the extreme amount of gil will push many to purchase gil, despite all of the holier than thou indignation some players have regarding those who do so. This will incent more gil selling activity.

More gill seller activity, more gill seller /tells, .... "Please look forward to it".

This can be argued as one of the reasons SE won't be touching the Atma drop rate for 2.3, because more people than expected have acquired an Atma or Animus weapon. Which can also be used to argue that the forum complainers here are an insignificant minority of the userbase; and, that a larger portion of the userbase either enjoys, doesn't mind, or is at least willing to do the Relic content.
