Two retainers in 1.0. I still have the same two I had then. Both of my retainers are completely full too.

I run out of armory space all of the time, and I haven't even worked on crafting yet.

Name change is always $10-20 in every MMO I've played except when server transferring IF the target server had another player with the same name.

I would love if Fantasia was $5, but I'd be surprised to see it that cheap.

Geez, folks. Chicken Little much? Instead of freaking out about it, you could...not buy the stuff? Seriously, Elder Scrolls Online is doing stuff way worse then this, and it's not even out yet. Have to buy the collectors edition to have access to a whole race, and they have mounts for sale in the real money store. Not, like, special mounts. The standard mounts that cost stupid amounts of in game money to buy. Seriously, Fantasia, server transfers, vanity gear, and extra retainers are small popotoes in comparison. When they actually start locking coil sections, instant level 50s, and a playable Moogle race behind paywalls, then we can talk.

Gotta love the double dip.
XI still better MMO XD. We only had 1 mount... hard to believe it was a Chocobo. Probably will be another 5 months until we start buying Mounts in this game.

They should just drop 2nd retainers and just make 1 retainer hold 200 items, sell 40 items, 1 venture option.
If people just need more space toss out your junk or sell it. Most of your crafting mats only go for 10~50gil each anyway.

I wish that part about having enough space was true. I have all 50s. One retainer alone eats up almost all the space available with mats. (dyes included). The next held potions/one offs/food/event item/things that the armoury don't accept.

Now as for my backpack space.

All AFs for each crafter/gatherer. All relics.

I carry multiple gears for my PLD/WAR/DRG which I swap to depending on the fight. Parry/Crit/Det/SS etc etc. My bard is quickly following suit as well and is now well on its way to having a second gear set. 2.2, is gonna make it all the more harder.


Item storage, potions, food, untouched nodes mats gathered, a lot!.

When I do clear my space however, they don't all fit into my retainer and what's worse. I can only have 13-15 max slots open at the moment.

I'm not arguing or anything and I mean no offense. Just sharing a thought

Fantasia, server transfers, and a big maybe to extra retainers sure. But the day they add any sort of vanity cash shop is the day the game starts a quick downward spiral to double dipping its customers. I don't give a crap if WoW or any amount of garbage F2P mmos do it. I'm paying the monthly fee and if every bit of vanity, gear, and mounts or content in general in the game isn't available to be earned through gameplay I'm not paying. P2P + Cash shop doesn't sound good to me.

But I guess as long as it's only retainers and they are no more usefull than now (I mean, if those adventures for retainers are useless) I coud be ok with that. And they can also sell a mount and a pet for one hundred dollars each one if they want to squeeze the most fanatic guys :p

Better music for one thing. And the video you used, I forget by then if they took out the, what was it called again... battle sync? That was actually pretty interesting. And I wasn't pleased easily, black mage felt underpowered fighting monsters high leveled than you at that point.

While your at it, why don't you show people the Hard Mode Darnus fight, or the original dungeon bosses that weren't so simple to push over like their 2.0 counterparts.

Absolutely, 100% no. Extra retainers as a paid service has been the first thing that has rubbed me the wrong way, but i'll just not pay it and ignore it. As has been pointed out to me, there is already a tiered sub model so this probably shouldn't bother me as much as it initially did. Regardless, it's the first strike that I have had against the game.

Something like this is taking it way beyond too far. When the Glamours system is being promoted so much and various loot tables have been resigned to only really being useful for that system, that makes Glamours a big part of content that I am already paying for monthly. Circumventing that (or skipping it completely by making items microtransaction only) with microtransactions would be a horrible, horrible move with no other purpose than to milk the customer for whatever extra money they can. I expect this sort of behaviour from a F2P model game, when I am paying a sub I expect IN GAME CONTENT that ISN'T expansions to be included in my sub. And please don't defend it by saying "but suchandsuch a game did it"! Yes, and I don't play them.
