World Transfer questions for those who have done it...

Did you resolve your issue ??

I did the exact same thing, and even after I deleted the placeholder it still doesn't allow me to use the name.
I'm waiting for monday to call support, but I'm scared that they might not want to help me with this mess D:

Edit: Lesson to learn:
If you have a placeholder character in your destination server, make sure to delete it first, BEFORE applying for a transfer. It takes approx. 20 mins for the system to update that the character has been deleted, and so the character that you going to transfer won't be locked behind a "Must change name" flag.

Wanted to follow up on this again as there seems to be some confusion on what I'm being told about the amount of gil. Heres a link to the world transfer info and it says on there now:

Furthermore, characters can only transfer 3 million gil, while retainers can only transfer 1 million gil. Please be aware that excess gil will be lost.

It will be the second one (http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...4c3d8619e086af) as this refers to 'paid' transfers whereas the first one was for the free transfer period.

So unfortunately it is 1million per charactrer and 100k per retainer. (and $18 lol)

Was curious if they have changed that gil limitation for transfer or is still the same? If anybody has done it recently...

I transferred from diabolos to balmaug just last week you are only aloud to bring over 1m on you and 100k per retainer.
