Behest Mini Bosses

The dodo are "mini-bosses". Just because it isn't a humanoid or Dodo Qink, doesn't mean it isn't a "mini-boss". At higher ranked leves, the monsters you fight are roughly rank 34-39 and then the "mini-boss" will be rank 49. That is definitely a mini-boss to me. I don't understand what everyone wants them to add. It is only 20 minutes long.

It's anti-climactic and feels less accomplished than doing...anything else. Settlement being attacked? Leaders are dodos that look exactly like every other dodo in the game and take less time to kill than it took to do the rest of the behest.

Mini boss's ftw. I think they should always spawn at the end of every behest. If anything, put a few different mini boss's for the computer to randomly generate at the end of the behest. Make it so behest's are by wave, and each wave increases in difficulty till the last wave equals the boss. Apply several exclusive drops to these boss's, maybe behest specific gear, or very rare gear that varies on the level of the camp you are currently doing a behest at.

That random boss is an interesting idea. That shouldn't be too punishing though, with this I mean that every boss should still be able to drop the same class items, but maybe the boss could have something little more unique in them, like a drop that is really rare and can only drop from that certain boss and of course just the boss would be randomly generated to the behest. It's not like the same boss attempts to kill the ppl every time ;)

I liked the wave idea though, but in some scenarios it could be troublesome and would cover the idea of having a steady behest. The monsters still need to be around the rank of the behest so it'd be difficult to make this happen. For casual players the monsters still need to be on the level that they are easily defeated. On my original post I said that the level of equipment that drops off the behest mini bosses are according to the behest level. So for example Broken Water (40) behest would hold R40 gear in it and so on.

Just got another idea about the bosses and what they could be like. I thought that having 2-3 types of bosses, with 3 unique models. A mage, a fighter and a ranged/melee boss. Each of them could drop gear corresponding to what they are. Mage drops stuff for con & thm. Fighter for gld, mrd and lnc. Ranged for arc & pug for example. Also it would be less stressing for the development team to create only 3 different boss models. Also this would let each player have a 33% chance to get their gears from behest. So waiting an eternity for that desired drop is not an option. Of course all of the bosses could drop the same tokens and as I said before each of them could have a rare unique item / accessory they can drop, which would benefit everyone. So when ever you do it, no matter what class you are, you could always obtain something for yourself. :)
