Actually to be honest, I want to recreate my simplest of job choices in FFXI which was War/Thief.
I don't see that being a specialty for Marauder once the jobs come for it. SE might surprise me, but I doubt it.
I agree with you... I just don't think it should be completely open ended, rather, A Job isn't locked to a single class, but can't be every class either....
Like thief would be glad, Pug, Archer or Marauder
BLM could be Thaum OR Conj
And so forth... I'd accept if a black mage couldn't use a lance or bow... some limitations I would agree with
I've actually always wanted a melee class that had even halfway decent debuffs or attack magic... Even the ability to add magic attacks to your weapon would be cool...
I'd like to see off hand weapons though... Like any 1 handed weapon class could throw on a dagger with it
