You can review every single CS in CM and Prae. Except maybe the lights turning off CS's but those are unimportant. It's under dungeons or something.

Actually, some of the CM cutscenes are quite funny - like the one- so they're well worth watching.after the player defeats the solider in the magitek armour, Cid quips that "if I didn't know better, I'd say you have a personal grudge against magitek armour!" after seeing the battered and wrecked mech lying sparking on the ground, or saying so succinctly to literally "find the place and break things" when directing the player to the cereuleum plant to stop the generator. And of course the scene with the airship being shot down was kind of awesome, especially Livia's comments after about wrecking the place. :P.
It's just a shame how players are just in such a hurry to farm tomes that the whole point of the dungeon is lost in the rush. But I guess that's something that can't easily be fixed - giving tomes for running the dungeon repeatedly is to encourage players to actually do it after their respective story quests are completed to help others with it. Cutting out the tomes will only send players to find an easier source if restrictions were added, so there's no easy fix for this. Maybe forcing players to actually watch the cutscenes, or deliberately having a penalty for speedrunning it might help, but again it would only drive players to seek easy alternatives/find ways of exploiting restrictions.
And as I've mentioned in the past, viewing the cutscenes later at the Inn loses the context of the whole thing, especially in the Praetorium, where during the actual runHence skipping the Praetorium cutscenes you lose that context.it shows your other party members behind you (after all, as far as the narrative is concerned you're meant to be leading 'an elite adventurer unit', so it makes sense), such as right at the start when it shows your other party members jumping off the Enterprise with you). In the Unending Journey however, it's just your character there and no one else. It looks rather unbelievable to show that one person can bring down Ultima Weapon or facing down the elite of the XIVth Legion, but that's how the Unending Journey depicts it.
You cutscene watchers are so selfish expecting the entire raid to wait for you at every cutscene while taking your sweet time reading. Group > individual.
And so are you with your selfish 'I'm only here for tomes and I've seen these quests a thousand times and hence all new players should skip the scenes just so I can get in and out fast!" The cutscenes are there for a reason you know. It's a story dungeon - you don't want cutscenes, go farm WP or AK for your tomes. You go into CM or Prae, you should expect cutscenes and live with it, unless everyone present in your party is not a first timer, then it's not necessary. But if you have a first time person doing CM or Prae for their story completion, let them watch the cutscenes - it's the right thing to do.
I'm glad I'm a tank and almost always get paired up with newbie plds that could never solo some of the bosses, 'cause I'd wait outside the boss fight while you and whoever gets done with being d***s to newbs.
People who urge you to skip cs or run ahead and get into bossfights on their own are much worse. Would you still be mewling about how 'group > individual' if you got into a Prae with more than half the people new and wanting to watch cs?
Don't worry Enki - He's precisely the type of individual that made me give up on my most recent attempt. Incredibly poor insight and a lack of interest in addressing a slightly faulty mechanic, as a community.
Give people like Doo a separate Roulette option for non-first timers only and a secondary roulette that has non-skippable cut scenes, which offers more tomes / rewards to those who are happy to help newbs like me.
This would solve the issue immediately and leave Doo to rush through to his heart's content, whilst isolating his toxic attitude from people new to the game.
Would be the right thing to do for the first timer to say I'll just watch it at the inn since the group wants to SR or I can leave and find another group that wants to watch every cutscene. You guys gotta get out of your single player mmo mindset. Group > individual.
Yep that's why I'm glad I'm a tank AND healer, if you wanna watch CS go for it, I'm not stopping you, but I'm not about to hold up the entire group for ONE person. It's a win-win situation anyway. That person gets to watch CS and a easy run, I get to hurry and get my tomes.
And there's nothing wrong with noobs ._. stop confusing them for bads.
I don't know why people keep saying this. Every single time I join DF for dailies I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS get a speed run and I'm not the only one that always gets a speed run. So I guess it's safe to expect a speed run?
