Movement settings - Standard or Legacy Type?

I found my character would miss auto attacks between my weapon skills when I was on Legacy (since the facing only corrected each 2.5 seconds). But it was handy for learning Titan HM dodges.

Legacy. No contest.

Legacy for sure. Back pedaling is atrocious.

Strafe and mouse turning is all one needs to get out of AoEs efficiently. I'd hardly call Legacy's movement necessary. I'll say one thing though - I'm surprised at the number of people who... apparently think backpedaling was/is the only way to move with standard controls? o.0

The Legacy settings weird me out. They play like TERA's controls, so I feel like my mouse should be locked but it's not and then I just get sad.
