Movement settings - Standard or Legacy Type?

Just wondering which setting most people prefer to use for the more difficult endgame stuff like Titan-Ex and Turn 5. Legacy type seems to provide faster twitch movement in all directions including moving backwards but just wondering if there are pros and cons to each movement setting.

I'm using Standard Type, and just adjusted my Character Turn speed to 100 so I can turn easily without much problem.

I prefer legacy, because my characters movements are less controlled by my camera.

At least, on the PS3 they are.

If you use WASD to move in standard, you can perhaps try this setting

Change to legacy
Set A and D key to turn camera left and right (instead of move left and right)
Set your character to auto face mob when using action

I did something like that, and it feels 99% like standard (accept it tries to move out of a wall instead of running into a wall when it hits it), but i do not have issue with back pedalling anymore

When I changed to legacy it made dodging 200% more efficient.

I cannot see a reason to use Standard. Legacy makes dodging so much easier. Considering Dodging is 80% of the endgame in XIV... I highly suggest everyone use it.

Legacy with K/M and Gamepad.

On my BRD I play standard and when I switch to WHM I use Legacy type.

Legacy all the way. I can't stand back peddle

I played as standard forever, but.... legacy is soooo awesome once you get used to it. You'll never have issues running from AOE's again since there's no back peddling at all. Plus, being able to move the camera around is invaluable for me as a tank.
