I hate to be a pessimist, but well... the PVP in this game is going to be terrible. Good luck trying to juke an interrupt or LOS a CC/big spell or interrupting a heal with <1s left on the cast with the awesome responsiveness in this game.

Party composition is NOT forced in pvp. you can enter with any combination of jobs you want.Quote:
3.) Forced party composition -- 2 dps, 1 healer, 1 tank is forced in PvP unless you have a full team. So if you're going in as a lone wolf or a random, chances are you will be at a disadvantage. Team Customization will belong solely to those who are going in with friends.
This isn't an issue because PvE gear is not made for PvP. level 40 wont be the most popular, level 50 will be. The best gear for PvE is not the best gear for PvP.Quote:
2.) Gearcheck -- This game is heavily gear based. A full set of armor grants you about 2000hp and 100s of damage. In PvP, Morale has a high chance of being the main stat, as it has the exact opposite effect of Determination. So whoever has the best gear wins, it's not really a skillcheck. For this reason, I highly believe that Level 40 pvp will be the "go-to" pvp since level 50 has too much variance with the item levels.
My biggest fear (even though I mostly care about the pvp) is ability delay. If they can't fix that I don't see pvp succeeding. I love the game but I don't have much hope for the pvp aspect. Just my opinion.
One reason I can't see pvp working is the simple thing of needing to face a target, within a 90 degree arc, throughout the cast, for most casts.
Either it will have to not work that way in pvp or mages will get destroyed.
Have you every tried to stun a running mob? That's Reslin's point. Pair that against bards with experience kiting and they'll kite melees so they can't reach them and hop circles around casters, literally. In this combat design, with this latency, bard will be the king. A mage's only chance is sleep nuking if they can land a heavy to stop you from just running back and forth through them.
THere's Blizzard 2 but the bind is pretty weak.
Exactly. Which isn't lag. Another example if you're a scholar or summoner. Cast Miasma, Bio 2, and then Bio. The moment you click bio then click Bane. Bio will go off. You'll see the effect on the mob but it doesn't matter. All the other mobs will have Miasma and Bio 2. Bio won't get transferred because you clicked "Bane" too soon and the server didn't register it sticking to the original mob yet. This is why in our dps rotation it goes.. Bio2, Miasma, Bio, Miasma 2/swift cast Shadow Flare THEN Bane.
