I couldn't care less about how other people plays the game. It doesn't ruin my day.
No, that's not common sense, it's assumption.
It's incredibly easy to earn money in this game, and many people have alts. A dedicated player could have more than enough to deck an alt out in perfectly melded DS.
What about all the people that TOTALLY SUCK at Titan HM in the duty finder? People always say it's lag... yeah 1% of the time. When I do anything else besides Titan I rarely hear of lag. There are seriously Titan sellers out there that ruin Titan HM. I'm so glad my FC can beat Titan now so I don't have to deal with Titan. It seriously can ruin your day unless you play with FC/friends 100% time. Even then, avoid the markets and never have a lot of Gil because it will just be stripped away from you in a blanket sweep.
So when I start my second character, and craft an HQ ilv 70 set and weapon for its first lvl 50 job I've bought gil too?

Anyone saying that this was not a suspicious player is being blind, or naive or both. Of course by some remote chance and combination of circumstance someone could have all the gear you described, but look, let's be reasonable and real about it. a pristine character leveled to 50 in a single class with all the gear...yea, right. Pull the other one, it's got bells on it. It's suspicious as hell, and you all know it, even though you're excusing it.
I say, kick him from the party, and report your suspicions and let the GM figure it out.
I would not let Gil buyers into my group/FC/LS at all.
But the guy you've had in your group might not be a Gil buyer.
There are several ways to obtain Gil with no craft/gather job.
-Sell demanded Green dungeon gears (the lvl15 ones as an example)
-Play with the market board (buy cheap sell for more)
-Farm demanded mob loots
-Sell philo stone requiring items
-Sell materia from spirit-binding
This is what he could have done to buy all his stuff he had.
That or it's an alt, yes a 2nd char of a already lvl50 crafter etc.
There are some who do that even in FF14.
Or a crafter friend of his made him all that stuff.
So on that dude you can not jump to conclusions.
