Good, maybe they'll fix some of the extreme lag I've been seeing for the last two weeks or so.

In order to address high server stress, we will be performing maintenance on all Worlds at the following time. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be unavailable.
that mean enpowering servers to take care of the spikes of lags they occur when the server are over-populated, like weekend and monday when reset of mythology and binding coil occurs. But go on, it's better whining of maintances instead be happy they fix shit.

Really then? They're not going to go into detail (very few if any developers have) when most people playing the game only cares that it works not how it works - only the XIV community seems to be the ones that want every intricate detail about absolutely everything SE did and does.Quote:

JP prime time is way later than that.
clustering and redundancy is cool, it lets you reboot machines without impacting end users. The fact they keep needing to take the game offline for what in essence I am reading the maintenance notes as a reboot to fix a memory leak is getting old.
Lie to me tell me its to combat RMT that would make the community happier than 'um servers feel kind slow, were are going to try poking it with a stick to see if that fixes it' which is what a 'to alleviate stress' means to me.
