Yeah, it's incredibly easy to do. I have tanked and healed the fight many times and whether it's my own WHM or my WHM healer, we are always up there on enmity, particularly for the first few phases. A WHM needs to be aware of their threat and ready to pop shroud, yes, but the biggest thing is... don't bother with Medica 2 until AFTER the heart phase! That is usually the biggest offender when it comes to a healer pulling aggro in the early stages rather than a tank "being bad"

Until Titan HM, you progress by dodging things as they happen. Come Titan HM, you have to memorize his rotations because Weight of the Land and Landslide casts too fast to dodge by reactions (and the server sure won't help you there). I think it's worse for healers since they also need to remember the tableflip.

No one there is stupid, bad players or whatever, the game does a 180 at that point and if you don't inform yourself you'll get stuck.

So what gear/materia would I need to raise my HP that high? Because having 4k+ HP as a SCH for Titan HM sounds incredibly delightful to me.

I believe you should get your relic +1 BEFORE attempting Titan!

But titan is the relic quest, well part of it, once this lil challenge is done I'm home free.

One of main problems with Titan is nothing in this game prepares you for it. There are so many people hitting up relic quest like its "go kill 5 mice" type deal and getting to Titan because the entire chain of quests is a laughable 1 night joke of activities. I considering Demon Wall to be the most difficult boss throughout the entire relic quest prior to Titan and that is -only- because of the mechanics. You have to move a lot, you can end up fighting in a small space and you can fall to your death with Demon Wall helping to achieve that with repel to knock you off, very similar mechanics to Titan, small area, Aoe's to dodge, knock back moves and a ledge to fall off. All other fights are weak. Then Titan hits and its a whole other level compared to what you've gone through.

The only advice I can give to secure a win is learn his rotation and do your actions and movement in advance, pretend plumes are already up when you "know" they are about to be up, and get moving.

I think its time to start prepareing to move after titan slaps the tank around a bit depending on what part of the rotation he is on.

There's nothing that a paladin can do on single targets imo. You just mash the halone combo over and over, sneak in spirits within, scorn and maybe fracture. There's mitigation but I feel that it has more to do with other people taking damage from titan's attacks pre-heart phase (where tank usually lose aggro). The whm would feel he has to heal that damage the party has taken and would most likely just hit medica if he sees there's more than one person taking damage. There's no way a tank can prevent that if the party keeps taking damage and the whm keeps aoe healing them.

Which leads to another point: if the party isnt over geared with relics, nobody must die before and during heart phase. 1 healer dies and the fight becomes harder. 1 dps dies before or during heart phase, there might not be enough dps in a DF party (I find building LB to be a waste of time because that's just an ominous sign on the dps department). Of course, this doesnt mean that it's okay for someone to die in post heart, but it's slightly less dangerous because the dps check is a long term one, instead of an immediate short term check.

Fracture is useless to a PLD, I start out with Shield Lob, rage combo, in between do spirits within and circle of scorn, this is a simple rotation, on the first to phases I use rampart or foresight after a landslide to prepare for tumalt, then I have to asve my CDs til after heart phase, I pop a defensive CD after a landslide during pase 5, my main problem right now is finding an ideal spot to tank him on that phase, I think I came up with one but I have to inch towards the middle once the middle bombs go off.
Somehow Certain WHMS steal enmity using medica 2 in early phases, which has me useing Provoke and rage combo til I regain control. This fight is a huge step up from garuda, and I will feel so much more fulfilled if I tackle this beast.

I already have a +1 Relic for my BLM, but I need to be a SCH in order to get my +1 book (which means I need to beat Titan), unless you're referring to the Myth gear (which I guess some people call Relic or +1 or something of that nature).
