Aye for sure, I would agree with you. Except for two things.
My FC has all problems with the same lag and same problems and the possibility of everyone of us from every part of europe and US having same ISP is so remote is not even thinkable.
I play games like LOL, WOW, AION etc without any problems. but when I get into a dungeon with SE it is hit by lag almost instantly and it lasts until I get out of the dungeon.
So I think it is the instance servers that are bad bad bad and need some serious que's or some more bandwith

u guys are fighting but this is not a fight between eachother, it is SE who is the bad one here, they messed up badly and leave us alone to fight eachother.. dont be enemies.. on account of there failness..

Good on you for not having any problems, but unfortunately the 100's of posts in the various threads on this issue don't agree with you. The issue is not someones ISP, as most of the problems happen across a major US backbone provider.

This is 100% SE's issue to deal with, as it's their network protocol that is unable to deal with general internet packet loss and jitter. Their backend server architecture that is not setup for twitch style gameplay, but their endgame is to a degree.

You can keep being ignorant of the issue if you want, but I've already seen some FC/LSs on my server stop doing end game content and just switch to leveling alt jobs because of the network pause->fast forward issues.

People dismissing folks' issues just because they're not experiencing them firsthand is getting old. Half the posts on the forums are people complaining about issues that affect them, and the other half are the unaffected blaming & shaming the victims. Your empathy is inspiring, jerkoffs.

I have not had many latency issues personally, but my husband and two of my FC members are crippled by them. I have not had issues with account security personally, but my FC Master was out for a MONTH after her account was compromised & suspended. I feel for everyone's frustration at paying for a product they can't use, especially when SE is silent or unhelpful regarding the problems.

Seriously, just because you are not experiencing an issue does not mean it isn't an issue. I could draw a really broad and callous allegory here, and point out that you may not be living in daily danger of being, say, killed by terrorist attack or any number of other actual, horrible things, but that doesn't mean someone somewhere isn't, and by your logic that's their fault & their problem.

The majority of FFXIV players are not experiencing game breaking issues. Please stop posting demands for everyone. You do not speak for the masses, nor to you hold the public majority's view in regards to the game. Many of these so called issues have nothing to do with SE's service. Just accept that you fail with technology, and IT issues and go back to offline console gaming.

I haven't had any lag issues whatsoever, think it might be your connection. If you are too cheap to pay $13-$15 a month, you can go play one of those free-to-play MMORPGs, no one is forcing you to stay.

I kind of agree. I have not been able to play sense late September, and wasted my sub money for October. I have not been able to play at all during October due to the lag issues. Wasted my money, and when the issue is finally fixed I will not have any game time. Nor will I be forking over another sub just to see if they fixed it.

I stopped buying SE products a long time ago. Made an exception for this one hopping it would be as good as they claimed, and it turns out to be a massive failure for about 35% of its user base due to retarded routing issues.

If you due have the lag issue.. You can not fix it by simply trying a new server. All the servers are in the same data center, and you will follow the same routing path there anyway. SE may not have 100% control over what will fix this, but they should have at least acknowledged it as an issue, and made the appropriate communication with the user base. The silence only allows the users to speculate. From the user point of view either SE has no idea the issue exists, is ignoring it, or has no plans to even attempt to correct it. Silence from a company is a very bad thing.

I personalty would like some free time considering I lost a whole month of paid time. But I do not expect it, nor do I really want to try the game again. SE cant even provide support for a game they are charging a sub on. For a Japanese company they sure rack a disarpin.

This is a real issue not some handout scheme from people wanting free time, in my guild we have 1 person that doesnt have gamebreaking lag on a daily basis, although he does lag occasionally (primetime 1800-2300) and its not a problem on our end, i personally have a better system then probably 95% of the playerbase (Core i7-4770K , gtx 780 sli and 200mb fiber) i have 0 issues with any other online games (wow, swtor, gw2, bf3, cod etc etc etc etc) i usually have around 50-55 ms ping to eastcoast servers and i have never ever experienced anything like this in any other game previously.

I couldnt care less about the subscription money as its a total non-issue to any working adult, what really get's to me is the fact that this is not a problem caused by me or my internet provider (because this ONLY happens in ff14 in EVERY other game my rig works exactly as it should)

If it was only me having this problem i would sort it out but its apperent that theres literally thousands of players affected by this (just check reddit and other gaming forum's, ff14 is taking a severe beating and Squares silence is not improving matters)

This is an extremely important period if square expects to keep the subscription model and not be forced into the f2p bracket, and every person leaving the game due to the lag is another nail in the coffin.

Square already failed at ff14 once, and they are definetly not off to a good start with 2.0.
