I guess DPS can go in and not attack mobs without being kicked, too!
If OP is telling the truth, then the healer was in the wrong. Regardless, refusing to heal - even if people stand in AoEs - isn't doing your job.

Assuming I read the post correctly, here's what was going on: He was a good, fully synced DPS going in with a less-geared tank (probably somewhere in the i100 range) in a level 50 dungeon. In that case, I fully expect the tank to have trouble keeping aggro. That means that the problem wasn't that he (the dps) wasn't paying attention to FFXIV. It just means that he (like many dps, distracted or not) was paying more attention to his rotation than to the enmity indicators. Heck, I'm guilty of doing that as a tank. Believe it or not, the fact that he had another game going in the bacground is irrelevant to whether or not he was paying attention. The healer got argumentative about the other game and when the dps said he hadn't even tabbed over to it once since the start of the dungeon, he chose not to believe that and decided to not heal said dps at all, even through unavoidable damage.Quote:

Honestly though, I think the healer was more upset because they probably didn't see BLM casting. Which they weren't casting because of the aggro problems.
So, and I'm just assuming, healer thought OP was in other MMO because OP couldn't cast at risk of ripping.
Still doesn't excuse the healer's actions or defense of them. -

Knew it would be rough when DRK went in without Grit on.
The first pull went okay, but he was still taking a lot of damage, so it was tough to DPS.
The second pull was terrible, as he decided to pull almost every mob in the room. I used every skill I had to help us survive that without any deaths. Repose, Fluid Aura, Divine Seal TWO times, E4E...
We get to the first boss. The tank waits for 4 stacks of Gold Lung before realizing it. DPS are standing at opposite corners of the room, so I had to run back and forth to heal them. We survive somehow.
Then, the Marlboro seedlings. The tank decides to run into the room and active every single seedling (or is it podling?) in the room. BLM tries to kill them, but doesn't make it in time, as it's his first time there.
I try desperately to keep this tank alive, but he isn't holding enough hate and he is taking too much damage. We wipe. My first wipe in AV.
Everyone runs back to the Marlboros and one of the DPS aggros them. Did I say everyone? I meant everyone EXCEPT the tank who was still waiting at the starting point.
This tank had been going AFK multiple times without saying anything during the dungeon and when he would come back, he'd run off into the wrong direction.
So of course, the tank is nowhere to be seen, and the three of us wipe again.
Finally the tank returns and we kill the Marlboros.
The tank stands next to the door that opens when you kill all the Goldvines, but it doesn't open. Why not? The tank forgot about the Goldvine in the corner. He just keeps running into the door. Then, he turns around and runs off into the opposite direction (the way we just came!). Finally, a DPS decides to pull the Goldvine to the tank.
Get to the next room and the tank decides, again, to pull almost everything.
I tried to vote kick this lazy oaf but all that was left was the boss, so it didn't pass. (I guess no one wanted to wait for another tank when we are already at the last boss.)
At the final boss, tank isn't paying attention and gets hit by Bad Breath. Still, we managed to pull through.
TL;DR: Tank pulls too much, using wrong / no skills, gets lost, goes AFK multiple times, gets hit by bad breath, etc etc just a lazy tank. -

Dual tanked trial roulette with a friend today and got Seph N with a new DPS/healer. No one asked for advice, so we went for it.. couple DPS kept dying because they wouldn't stack for fiendish rage (we asked them to stack in party chat), but oh well. We wiped because none of the DPS went for the storm add (was marked 1), so we asked them to focus on it and went again.
Does normal have an enrage? Cause we were heading for our 4th or 5th jump before it finally was downed. The new guys kept dying to various mechanics, people threw earthshakers through the party, and I think overall DPS was just terrible. Never had seph normal go THAT long..
