Missing Genders: A request for Male Miqote, Female Highlander, and Female Roegadyn

Anyone who argues she isn't a Female Roegadyn isn't very observant of other artwork by Yoshida (not Yoshi-P) who did all the concept art for XIV. Female Elezen have short necks, long ears, long straight down hair and thin lithe short bodies. They are barely much taller then male hyurs.

Merlwyb is atleast 6'5 foot tall taller then everyone else shes next too has a long neck, short ears, wide muscular body. Its completely different.

Of course but some people will never give in without an official statement.

So essentially, you want a system that is convenient for you (as someone who has a rank40), but not for a large percentage of the population. Long have you dreamed of FFXI and FFXIV having male mithra/mi'qote, but you dislike the fact that you won't be a delicate little snowflake?

I vote we think of the whole community, and not just ourselves.

Hopefully will release some pictures of the races while we wait for the PS3 launch.

Please allow the PC players who created and developed characters before the PS3 launch to have a one-time chance to switch to one of the new races. It wouldn't be fair to the fans who went out and bought the game earlier to miss out on this exciting addition to the game, especially since the PC players will have had to have dealt with the issues at launch.

Even without your translation the word Roegadyn is clearly there. The fact she is considered a Roegadyn should be enough to have kept it.

...Why am I not surprised about the English version not having that bit? I guess I might set my Lodestone to German after all.

Neither of us took it as serious.

PS: I find it funny that the douche comment wasn't also removed for being derogatory.

Im pretty sure that by "introduce" they meant as NPCs. He also said "wanting a female Roegadyn" and not too long after, we got one. As a NPC.

Don't get your hopes too high, as long as we don't get confirmation the devs meant PLAYABLE.

He said they would try to "Implement them by the PS3 Release" Merlwyb is coming way before the PS3 release.

Hopefully we'll be seeing Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn In game in 1.18.

I'm a girl to, I don't often get along with other girls. I talk too much about games, dragons, fantasy-novels and mythologies and I think shopping is the most boring thing in this universe. I always say what I think to ppl's faces, and most girls like to speak behind other girls back, called gossiping... Which I DON'T like.. So I can easily relate to what you are saying about some girls... BUT then again If we all here can relate to it, aren't we beeing mistaken? We are also girls, right? So maybe girls DON'T suck after all! :D

(By the way I would love to see male Miquotes in the game, mainly cuz my boyfriend said he would play the game as one if they added them as a playable character. As for now, he's playing with me using my char.)

But we'll never know. We'll get to see Merlwyb soon though. 1.18 is supposed to introduce her and the other city leaders in game.

I rather get more customization options for what we have now. And I mean body customization, no just how tall my character is. I'd really like to do Human Male. But tall and slim. Not tall and generic. Generic do not fit into my imagination of crazy, mage sitting all day on books ;p.

A bump for this thread now we have confirmation from Yoshi-P that they're aiming to have female Roegadyn and male Miqo'te for PS3 release! Possible edit into OP? Personally a little sad there's no mention for female highlanders, but it's understandable and I'll take what I can get :D

i've been on a long break, but have they given us a possibly AIMED for release date for the ps3? and will we be able to possibly switch our current characters over to our preferred gender/race?
