Doing the final trash pull in SV HM with the Jura, just after the tank pulled my TV froze then turned off. It turned on 2mins later after I frantically pressed the power switch and kept spamming medica II on my controller. Had no mp but everyone was alive at least...

This is the kind of shit that I've been running into constantly and quite frankly, I'm to the point where I really don't care to heal anymore. I have run into way too many elitist jerks and it is just really ruining the game.

Now, Ramuh and Ifrit EX are healing intense. I told both parties:

Do you think there was any talking, marking locations, or feedback? Heck no, except for after dying and the "why are you wiping us"? Are you serious? I'm pretty sure during your first time here you weren't perfect.

There isn't a lot or any patience with the community anymore. It's either "do it right the first time or I bounce".

Ilvl110 SCH here doing someone in my linkshell a favor and queued up for DD a level 44 dungeon on last boss because healer left. Everyone running the dungeon was geared up accept for one of the dps. we wiped the 1st time, the second time I was running low on mana because I had to constantly keep raising people. Ilvl sync make everything a nightmare. It was fun though can't lie about it.

Was healing moogle Ex as a scholar and one of the two tanks did not show up on my screen and was untargetable D: He was definitely there, talking and tanking things but to me it looked like moogles were just attacking an empty spot. That made the other healer responsible for the guy and when the healer died that was it for the run xD

Queued up for Sunken Temple of Qarn HM with my brother, all four of us in the party were new. The party was great. Everyone knew their roles, and played their jobs very well. So why is this a horror story?

Enter the dungeon, the PLD has like 7k HP. By the time we beat the first boss I notice the tank is getting hit REALLY HARD and I'm having to spam out cures way more than usual. Didn't really think much of it, until the first pull after that boss.

The tank pulls and stoneskin is immediately eaten and tank's HP drops like a rock down to 1000, 3 or 4 mobs hit once each and ate a ridiculous amount of HP. I struggled to keep up as an I100 WHM. I complain to my brother (in the other room) that the tank is really getting hit hard. We both just kinda assumed "oh, probably made enemies stronger for the ilvl". Then it hits me, the tank now has 5800HP topped off. So I check her gear, it's all good gear, and all are tank vit gear. It didn't make sense, so I ask what happened to her HP.

Her gear broke. She didn't realize it and said she didn't repair before entering.

BUT WE PRESSED ON ANYWAY BECAUSE WE'RE ADVENTURERS!

2nd boss! Tank gets hit really hard again. Make it about 3/4 through the fight though, then the 100000 needles gets us. Round 2: Tank HP down to 4100. Swaps out broken gear for lower ilvl stuff, back up to 6000ish. Anything was better than broken gear just for some defense. Couple more tries and we win. Tank is now in like GC seal gear for head, hands, and legs, and I think a couple accessories (not hunt seals, the seals you get from fates).

Final boss! More of her gear broke!!! HP was down to like 5400, and defense was probably as good as i50 or something. 1st attempt we all derped and were surprised by the mummies (surprisingly no one got mummified). 2nd attempt I derped and died cause of tunnel vision trying to keep the tank alive. 3rd (or 4th?) attempt we win.

It was hard to heal, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun. I love doing new dungeons when everyone is new, and this made it more exciting lol.

Doing Ramuh EX the other day with a random Party Finder group, no VC (or any kind of communication at all)

Tanks were having to overcharge really often due to lack of orbs to tank swap and at other times the boss' skills were hitting like a truck because there were too many orbs out (making it a nightmare to heal). We wiped 3 or 4 times, all because of lack of orb collecting communication

So after a wipe I ask the tanks "Could you guys please set up an orb clearing/leaving macro to make things easier?"

One of the tanks says "If you need a macro to learn mechanics, you're not good enough for this fight and should leave" (on a sidenote: I already had tons of clears and had my judgement ring on my finger)

I say "it's just to help out", he replyes with "You'll never clear SCoB if you're that bad with mechanics". That guy was really getting on my nerves so I just said "Okay, I suck" and left.

But well... At least I learned a lession; Ramuh EX in a pick up group? Never again.

that one time when I was in Wanderer's Palace and my gear totally broke down. Lustrate baby lustrate!!

I always repair my gear before every other DF now.

I don't usually get a bad PUG group for DF, or at least I didn't until Qarn. I'm still kind of new so I don't have much high level dungeon experience past 38, but oh my god Qarn has warranted some of the worst healing experiences ever. I really liked how the difficulty ramped up, but sometimes the groups are bad.

My first time running Qarn: I went to clear the doom off of myself and it switched as I stepped onto it so it did not clear, and I did not have time to get the next panel. So yes, I died on the first boss. My group was chill about it and I died before the boss did so we didn't wipe, but it was still embarrassing. I apologized profusely, and that was the only technical mistake I made. And even though they said it was alright since i was new, it is still embarrasing to be that guy so i vowed to not do that again. I came close to messing up again because I ran out of mana, but since Scholar is awesome I was able to get it back via careful aetherflow management.

But yeah, Qarn is awful. I ran it several more times and did fine myself, but each group was a nightmare in its own way. Yeah...it was a bad night

The other healer was also making my own job harder by trying to keep the other alliances alive, leaving me to do all the healing for my alliance. Literally had myself and another ninja tell the healer to stop healing other people and help me out.

Yesterday I had a ninja and her war buddy in AV. War was the most impatient person on planet earth and pulled 2 groups + the nix, nix did laboured leap, apparently these two buddies don't know what aoes are, War in full sol gear went from 90% to 30% hp and the lvl 48 Nin instantly turned into paste that mixed with the floor then sat tasting dirt instead of respawning and running 2 meters back to us for about 5 mins.

After some more atrocious pulls and the War pulling way more than any sane person would then LOS'ing me around a corner while I had half the pack on me resulting in our deaths I got kicked outside the boss room. This was my first kick in the history of my play time in this game and I couldn't be happier. Still that ohko from laboured leap was clearly the highlight of the run, DRG 2.0 definably.

Think this might be some weird post-patch trolling. I've run into it twice in past 2 days. "Buddies" do unbelievably dumb stuff, die, and then blame heals. Stop, spend incredible amounts of time asking about skills, etc. Never been kicked or abandoned duty before in 2 years. But did both this weekend. Extremely adolescent behavior.

I'm leveling my Scholar for fun (been 50 WHM for a while) and it's now 44, so I que up for Dzemael Darkhold last night. The Warrior for some reason tries to speed run the dungeon, somehow we make it to the last boss with no deaths. Right before we get there he hits 50, and at the time I didn't think anything of it.

Having only done the dungeon once and forgetting the mechanics of the last boss I ate his line attack and died at about 40%. No huge deal, we go back to take it out, and out of nowhere, not waiting for Protect or even everyone to be at the boss room, the Warrior just runs in and starts attacking the boss. I frantically run up and try to get off a Protect as he yells at me to get away from him so I don't get hit. We wipe. He says "oops, my bad" and we run back to try the fight again. And he does the exact same thing a second time, then rage quits.

Part of me thinks this was just some jerk who hit 50 and figured "eh, who cares" and wanted to just troll the group.

Doing Ifrit HM with some rl friends to help them with relics. The party is mostly pre made with both heals and 3 dps being our rl friend group (3 of us had relics rest did not).

We get in and I notice that the tanks and other dps are basically there for the same reason, relics. The tanks decide that the PLD is OT (for stuns) and the WAR is MT. Everything starts fine, I let them pull, gain enmity then I regen the warrior, Ifrit does is cone breath and I heal the WAR but then I notice something odd, I pull from the WAR after curing him ONCE. Yes, once.

Basically Im now being MT for this run until the PLD provokes it (WAR just lets it beat away at me for some reason) but the PLD tanks him in the middle of the arena (all the time for multiple attempts) and I just watch my fellow healer and dps get torched by his cone breath attack...Needless to say we wipe, a lot, I think me and my BLM friend pulled off the tanks frequently for silly reasons that should not be happening regardless of ilvl at this point. We wipe with Ifrit at 2% because I can't heal myself while running to make up for the damage I'm receiving + interrupts and no lb3.

Then the PLD after the 3rd or so wipe has the cheek to call us "utter shit" and as he was having his little rant he got booted. Luckily we got another WAR who tanked Ifrit and our original WAR just stunned his erupts which he did very well.

So er, yes, even old content can go horribly wrong...

Sastasha HM as a SCH

After an hectic 1st boss (remove Dots, heal tank, HoT twister, GAAAAAAH) with everyone around 30% HP for 80% to the death, we somehow managed to get to 2nd boss..

Try to heal a dps with 3k HP >_> the time I began to heal, he was dropping dead, with only 3 stacks on boss. No need to say we couldn't survive the 2nd phase where he starts at 6/8 stacks xD

We eventually managed to pass when the boss decided to target the tank second hand. Spam heal, remaining dps clear adds, we win. But a hell of a run.

Know this pain so well thankfully mostly happens when I'm bored and doing low level dungeons for the fun of it or helping someone in FC get in faster. Had one Tank like that in Cutter's Cry no flash heal them at the last second waiting for them to touch more than one mob. Face tank two mobs while DPS kill them Tank says "If you take aggro off me and you die that's your own fault"

Speaking of random Cutter's runs i remember this one Tank who had to be a troll because nobody can possibly be this bad. He has archmage title so he's obviously experienced yet he's Tanking in a robe with lvl 1 accessories i kid you not. He's a nightmare to keep alive but i kind of like the fun of it so i go on not saying anything and we get to final boss. He then takes every single blue AoE and dies like 4 times saying he was sure he dodged it and then i get annoyed finally at which point he rezes out and quits. We finish the boss 3 man without the Tank. I've never seen anything like it before or since XD.

The who's run took as bit over an hr. Dps didn't know what to do at 2nd boss since when he start shooting the blm, the blm just run around the room in circle. I wasn't parsing but our dps must be extremely low because I was literally out of mp in every boss fight. The last boss took us around 15 mins to kill. I was extremely happy when we finally got it done that I just took off. Didn't bother to loot or wait for commendation.

Tanked for normal Brayflox, had a healer who was oblivious to debuffs. Healer spent more time in the final boss spamming heals instead of curing poisons that would stack. By the time he would remove poison, it was already too late as our ninjas didn't have enough HP to survive the toxic goo attack from the dragon. It took us 3 wipes until the healer had to be told to cure poison.

Multiple disconnects as WHM, when I finally got into Ultima HM -3-

I dunno which is worse - multi-disconnecting while trying to support as a healer (I spammed a cure three, then medica at one point because last I remember we were all running to an orb to explode it when I noticed lagging out for the second or third time - and I assumed we'd be in close enough range at that point), or multi-disconnecting when trying to help/motivate a party full of first-timers (I like helping people >_> so I felt like I was being forced into abandoning them)
Even worse, I hope I didn't come off as one of those silent rage quitters, on either timing (as I have no qualms doing trials over and over again as long as people aren't troll-failing)

This was more of an experience I had in SV HM the dungeon loads and our healer didn't have his WHM soul stone we try to get past the first mini boss.... repeatedly.. needless to say we had to vote abandon because it was not going to work

Not a horror story on my part, but I ran Halatali today with my archer, and it was pretty obvious the tank was still getting used to tanking. The tank would aggro mobs by running into them, but would never use flash. I didn't think much of it because, eh, there's a first time to everything. The healer pointed out that flash would be helpful, but his usage was still very minimal. So for every mob, I waited until he had decent aggro on the mob and then I would attack it. Even then I would get aggro (and I was a lower level than him). It didn't help that the rogue in our group kept running into the mobs first, so every member of the party had something aggroed on them. And an extra bonus: During the Firemane boss, I was killing the flame adds and I see the tank come over to take aggro. I was like: o.o but then he just focused the boss after. Once that was over, he said, "ranger stop running away". My response: :| and the healer was even like, "she's doing it the right way dawg".

Mog HM...
I'm used to zipping through this trial but we had some new players - I'm fine with that. So live and learn about the moogles/not touching the king till x moogles are dead, etc. I don't mind wiping if people learn.
But thats not the horror.
Something happened where everyone wiped super fast, and I don't even know wtf happened. o_O It was just me and a tank, just holding on for dear lives while the LB 3 bar was juuuuussst inching to the end of full.
About one or two more ticks until it was full and what do I see? Nothing but blue AoE and dying tank. I didn't even see or hear the LB meter ding, just "omfg this is the end BUT IF I CAN GET OUT FAST ENOUGH I CAN SAFELY LB RIGHT AFTER."
Nope. The spread was too much and wiped.
I should have just hit the button to LB. -.- But my concern was living long enough to complete the cast for it to even do anything. I should have attempted anyway.

It's not that I don't LB unless I'm safe - I've knowingly and willingly taken multiple eruptions to the face to do it, but.... I knew for a fact this moment would insta-kill me x.x

Also.... I keep getting pugged ninjas in both low AND HM dungeons who think they're tanks by running into everything BEFORE tanks. On everything. Mobs, bosses, everything.
Granted, the last ninja that did this had just 400 less HP than the tank but still! HP is not DEF! D:

Reminds me of the time the BLM said "Screw this let me tank, I have as much HP as they do" >_> and then proceeded to fight for the aggro, against the tank.

Just had to do AV for my animus book, and we had a BLM who would only use Fire III, followed by Blizzard III....over and over again....for the entire dungeon. We all tried to be helpful and explain the basics of the BLM class to him and how it all worked, but he didn't listen and just stated that his way was better. I lost count of the number of times the Mistress at the end sowed fruit, lol. Thank god the monk in the group understood how to AOE, lol.

I was in the Stone Vigil with the most silent team i've ever had the 'pleasure' of meeting... Everything was going perfectly until the last turn before the last boss in a room with 3 Dragon Aegis'. I asked everyone to wait while i casted buffs, the tank didn't listen, rushed in and promptly faceplanted. (As i couldn't heal fast enough) raged and quit instantly. We couldn't find another tank before time ran out....

This is more of a backseat horror story. Did roulette as my ROG this morning and I got in a party with a new GLD and THM with a WHM who was clearly not new. The THM was the most impatient player Ive ever seen, he would pull the levers on the elevators before everyone was on, I was left behind at one point because I went to get a chest and the GLD and WHM just waited for me while speed gonzales pulled a group and beat to death.

The THM would continually pull with Sleep (of all things) and sleep everyone including the thing we were attacking and bosses (continually). I asked him to let the GLD pull but he ignored me. When we got to the second boss he kept killing the bomb, every single time without fail. Eventually me and the WHM just asked the GLD to let him steal agro and hopefully die. We get past it somehow and at this point my patience was wearing thin and it was evident the WHM's patience was completely gone. She never healed him and to be honest I don't blame her as I would of to (I actually told her this). We managed to kick him JUST before he pulled the final boss while we were till at the pack of slimes he pulled while we were still at the last pack (ofc).

I feel so sorry for the GLD who had to put up with that because it was evident he was new and trying desperately to get his skills sorted and maintain agro and I left sorry for the WHM having to heal because every pull was a nightmare. In the end we bowed/saluted to each other.

Now for another one. Join levi ex for the first time, I had watched a video so I knew roughly that I had to stone skin and regen + divine seal the tanks to avoid getting stacks. We managed fine until around about 25% and he did his second ohko and we didn't make it to the generator in time. The second time we finished but I got knocked off at the last second.

The true horror comes from when I noticed half way through the second run that I had cleric stance on the whole time. I turned it off in shame and hoped no one noticed. I shrunk so far into my seat and wanted the floor to swallow me from my pitiful existence right there. I was at a dilemma as to wether I should apologise after we finished wondering if they noticed or not. If I apologised but they hadn't noticed I was scared of any comments after and if I didn't my conscience would hate me :c I did apologise and ran out that instance as fast as my little kitty legs would take me.

The reason I had CS on in the first place was because I was in Mog Ex and joined in the final DPS push to kill him before he does his ohko and I forgot to swap it off when I got out ._. I banned myself from playing for the rest of the night.

Mine is solo healing KB in CT with i90. No one stuck together, a tower was out and i was stressed trying to keep regen on everyone. Worst of all is I got no commies.

Probably no one noticed - or if they did it was just the other healer, because party lifebars. I would think, in EXs, if someone noticed, they would have screamed the first time =x

Was in a T4 with a WAR and a new PLD. WAR was letting PLD try to pick up Dreadnaughts in P3, but the PLD couldn't. All you could hear was the sound of "BOOM BOOM BOOM" of Rage of Halone going off over and over and over and over and over and... well, the PLD didn't hold hate, let's just say that.

Two wipes later, I tell the WAR to go pick up Dreadnaught and I'll handle adds as a WHM. Slap on my HP set (I had more HP than the PLD now @.@) and proceed to off tank to victory >.>; I guess some things really do work when you're that over geared.

ST, last night. Not really a horror story, just a "I R so Derp hard." run between myself and one of the alliances. I'd done ST a bunch of times now and haven't really....... derped like that.

Scylla - when it was time to run to the individually marked alliance trigger platforms, I somehow lost all sight of my party and ran to the nearest platform with people..... and realized none of them were my alliance members. lol? I should have done a '/em looks around and shrugs'.
Derpily, for some reason, I automatically hit the 'Medica II' button to refresh the party while everyone was together.
That wasn't my party.
I'd already pre-determined that. I hit the hotkey anyway. o_O
Nothing bad seemed to have happened, just a monster spawned on the platform, so... I guess it didn't matter which platform I stepped on?

Derp 1> When we hit the point where we jumped to the platform outside the main one, I saw two people bounce onto the plat and bounce to the next. Stupidly, I followed and realize, in mid bounce, those were not my peeps. -_- *Smacks face on desk* Ended up hitting regen on myself and working on the add that spawned there, by myself, till the cavalry came.

Derp 2> I had swiftcast on cool down from an earlier raise... when my partnered WHM dropped. It would take way too long to wait for it to come off CD and my mp was low.... Saints also on CD. I wouldn't be able to heal everyone without running out, some people had already dropped in my party after a burst, and the other alliances were mostly dead.... I needed the other WHM x.x dropped a Presence and hit Raise, hoping it would help but er..... good gad is it still slow. Next thing I know, another party mate dead (it was 3/4 done raising, I couldn't drop that ball, too x_X as I realized by near half-casting that this was probably a bad idea), kicked an X-Ether in my face and used the rest of Presence to quickly heal the remaining peeps as the other WHM was raising.
The entire platform wipes from an AoE, not even a minute later.

Derp 3> Near the end of the fight, another set of yellow bubbles appeared. I got one, woo! ...Xandes did a burst AoE so I thought that was it, the one the bubbles were intended for... - ran out of the bubble and took the real burst to the face.
Stupid, because I'd just done those bubbles portion just fine (except once when I couldn't get a clear bubble) a good four or so times just beforehand from both the wiped attempt and the current attempt.

I guess I had some form of dungeon fatigue, super early o_O


As for one of the other alliances.... the tank and a dps rage quit (or maybe vote kicked?) after first wipe, at the beginning of the second round with Xande. Not D/Ced or net dropped, or it would have shown otherwise.... this was gone. COmpletely. Two WHMs and three DPS. I noticed this and went "well shit - two less on killing off the meteor fall" (we just barely finished it off at the split last second. I'm very sure the tip just barely touched). And in popped a tank icon and dps icon..... and saw the chat's description that they were performing dances. We're running amuck and trying to fight and they're..... off on the side, in the distance, dancing.

Did that myself on Monday night, except for me it was on Shiva EX and I didn't notice until Shiva was around 30%. I tend to DPS as a SCH before the add phase, but apparently I had never turned off CS after Diamond Dust. Fortunately my fellow healer Erin Mordeau is a beast of a WHM and we didn't even really notice the difference.

I'm a relatively new 50 and so I was doing Titan HM, with an ilvl much lower than it should have been, and I had a really great group. I got in and told them I was new to it, but I had looked up the fight so I at least knew what to expect. They were really cool about it and were like "yeah we'll teach you if anything comes up", and mind you this is a PUG group. We made it to the third phase with the bombs, and I knew about the bomb mechanic but the guide I had used didn't tell you how to survive them so I got instantly killed and we wipe because so did a few of the dps and then the WHM got put in prison and before they could get him out the tank died. So we get ready to start again and they don't really explain anything. Anyways it keeps going like this for a few rounds until they explain the bombs. It still took me a couple of tries and I felt really bad. They told me a lot of people have trouble learning that and not to feel bad, but I still felt awful for doing that to the group.

I am leveling a Ninja and I unlock DD, the premier place to get EXP. The WHM is doing awful, but my FC mate and I both have WHM, so we were able to give advice. Then he says, "My gear is not as high as it should be." OK, you opened the door. I look and there's a cracked belt and a meteor ring! WTF?!?!? Nothing there that could be converted, so what was he or she thinking?

Everyone goes through this initially with Titan, don't worry. Once you remember all the bomb patterns and automatically notice the order of placement, you will breeze through that mechanic every time.

Also, it may help you to turn battle fx off while learning the fight. It's easier to notice unfamiliar mechanics when the only flashy stuff on the screen is coming from the encounter itself.

Don't worry, it gets better. The bombs have definite patterns to them and you'll learn them. ^^
