You are right about the Suicide Squad, that was a solid 7.5/10 movie. As for Marvel, I just wanted to see if they had the gumption to make a 1:1 version of Marvel: The End. It's not like anything really came out of it, considering the ending just reverted to everything before Thanos went for the stones. Just show the heroes being not-crucified in times square, you cowards!
I loved Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, though probably more Peacemaker than the movie. Both were a wild ride...and on that note, I think I'm gonna watch Peacemaker again because the forums really twisted my arm here, even though all it took was a mere suggestion. Curse you, GD! And thank you, GD.
Never needed an Ewer if you just extended your Lucid Dreaming and Lightspeed with Celestial Opposition...rip AST's time magic.
People always talk about the old cards but the fact that you could extend all your buffs including Earthly Star, Mind Potion, Lightspeed, cards, Lucid Dreaming, Eye for an Eye and Collective Unconscious (turning it into a 1200 potency HoT on the entire party) by 10 seconds or make Aspected Benefic the highest potency heal in the game (2376 potency over it's entire duration) with Time Dilation had so much potential.
Assuming you're dealing with a competent WAR or a competent set of DPS(or both).
I've seen WARs that forget that their BW cd is 25 seconds and don't pop it consistently. I've seen WARs that don't pop mitigation post BW(also includes thrill->equi). And then I've seen teams where they don't clear the trash fast enough and the WAR pops BW 3x leaving me to pick up the slack in between the 2nd/3rd pops(again assuming WAR has any competency, they can cover the first downtime on their own).
Granted oGCDs are usually enough and I can just keep dpsing. WAR is pretty braindead but it's not so ungodly braindead that you can just do whatever.
Alisaie's gonna grow up flat like her mom and I feel sorry for her because unless she and Alphinaud finally change their hairstyles by then, she'll keep being mistaken for her brother. xD
constant damage that requires healing over a large period of time, such as p8sp2 NA dots, aren't fun to heal
Au'ra original concept design was way better then what we got
Hot take: People who hate the "modern glams" are completely out of touch with how the world of FFXIV actually is.
I don't know what's going on with the dev team, but they need to make all new headgear wearable by Viera and Hrothgar.
Every headgear throughout Endwalker should be wearable for both races. They had a valid excuse last expansion with how there's too much old gear to make it all work on Viera and Hrothgar, since they have to do it manually one at a time.
This expansion though, no excuses. I don't care what your currently working on or whatever, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing a cool piece of head gear, only to find out for some reason my Viera can't equip the dang thing.
You devs have time to make this all work on the other races, spend a couple extra minutes to make sure that headgear works on Viera and Hrothgar, too. And if you need another patch or something for the new headgear to work on Viera and Hrothgar, then do it. Release the stuff working for everybody else, but release a patch later that lets us Viera and Hrothgar wear the stuff. Because at this point, its becoming both increasingly irritating and difficult to even ignore this issue.
People who ask what race they should fantasia in shouldn't fantasia in the first place, much less buy it.
Also this thread has really become a venting thread in general, as there hasn't been much unpopular opinions as of late. If anything, most people would agree on the recent complaints here.
Noir set is really ugly. All my characters look like they're wearing a fat person suit, and it looks super off as the rest of their bodies are still slim. Its wayyyyyyyyyyyy too oversized - why?? I feel like most people would prefer a tighter fit.
Also - did we need another fedora? This is nearly identical to the Lawless Enforcer's hat. Boring.
Okay... here's a hot take.
Those that go on and on about how others are upset at the infamous hamburger scene either don't care to understand why that scene irked people or are simply out to get a rise from people that actually want to enjoy the game. Also, "content creators" are the bottom of the barrel as far as fans go. Just cut the out the middle man and hire them for PR purposes, lol.
Criterion could have done with a eurekan/lost action system made with a mix of new and old removed actions.
A sort of best of style approach to picking your actions to supplement your job.
Rock up with raise, shadow flare, OG celestial opposition and cure on dancer and play like a actual healer. Or lost rampart, ultimatum, seraph strike, aero 3 and quake to tank as a whm.
Overhealing should be reworked to give a small dps buff like filling them over full makes them "overcharged" or something - healers can keep healing, coordinate resource uses with co-healer and party mit so it's a team effort and has an impact to overall party dps. Makes piety an impactful stat to stack because now u aren't taking the minimum mana to heal the scripted damage ur stacking as much mana as possible to squeeze out every resource possible to keep everyone overhealed.
Greeting people at the start of dungeons is slightly important. You don't have to go all out or start a conversation or anything of the sorts. Just a simple "o/" or "hi" or whatever will do, but to me it shows signs to other players that you are willing to communicate if needed, assuming anything goes wrong.
I realize that I'm spoiled in being able to do this so easily due to being an omni and maining heals, but when something goes wrong(such as a tank pulling multiple w2ws without mitigation), I'm more likely to just leave if no one's said anything.
Im SCORCHING BBY :P
But yes, I understand that people dont like it, but I think the reason is kind of silly.
Especially when you remember and realize what kind of area we are in, and the fact that whole scene happens BEFORE the Final Days themselves actually happen.
So some points like: the Scene ruins the mood...its like...what mood? You just got done with a fight, and you are enjoying a meal together. The Doom and Gloom of the Final Days hasnt happened yet.
Or how the food doesnt make sense....when we are in an area that is leagues ahead of most of Eorzea in tech and knowledge. But somehow it doesnt make sense that they could have such foods.
So yes...I get its not liked. But I think the reasons are kinda Nonsensical imo
I miss Zenos.
Their new escort system is being overused to the point where I think they care more about it than the quality of their own content.
tbh, kinda feels like they know it exists..,
so they are trying to justify its existence.
but that isn't really a bad thing. but I guess since it's new, it just feels so apparent when it's there. than when it isn't.
I think it would work, if some npcs gave us the option to follow in their quests, as well as the option to say no. I'll meet you there.<but I guess at that point, I'm talking about them breaking in the system unto our minds. rather than the seemingly frequent, in my mind, implementation of it, to justify the development effort.>
It's a good thing when it actually provides the reason why it's there. Which is to accompany someone and explore. The issue is that they're throwing it around gratuitously, with a lot of interactions being just comments rather than anything meaningful. And before anyone asks "Well, don't YOU have such interactions in real life", I'll remind everyone that this ISN'T real life and that each string in the game costs money and time :) which they're wasting. Or so I'm told whenever we point out how easy putting hairs or ears on Hrothgars is.
I'm not saying I hate the fact that it exists. I'm saying I hate how often it's popping up. More than any other mechanic, it's as though Square has a complete crush on it and tries to shove it into anything that breathes.
If they have to justify developmental effort, it isn't a good thing to begin with. Stuff you add needs to have a purpose. And while it's great that the thing overall exists, because as I said, it's interesting to explore places with NPCs and know what they think, the problem is how gratuitous it's getting...
If I need to justify why anything exists in this game due to a disconnect, then it's a sign I haven't had the right idea for the sort of content I'm doing. Not when it's something this spammed and this forced. PvP has a disconnect, Eureka, POTD, BLU also do. But they're optional, and they don't bar you from progression unless you absolutely want to.
Yoshi P is about as remarkable of a lead dev as Ion Hazzikostas is for WoW.
