He will be back for 7.0 probably. He seems to have a thing for New World though. Yuck.

Left the game, not the family. Just in case it wasn't clear, lol.
This whole thing just reminded me why I have left other MMOs. It's never really a single event or thing, your motivation just erodes with time and one day you just don't feel it anymore. Every couple of year I look into WoW or Swtor or GW2 only to leave a few days later. That's hardly "coming back".
It really does happen this way and it isn't necessarily a reflection of the product. I had fun in EQ2 and still have friends there and housing projects I'd like to get back to, but I just can't get myself to stay there for long, even when I don't have much going on here.
I heard him mention this a few times before I stopped watching W2G. Not that any sort of harassment is ever justified but I wonder what prompted the harassment and what was being done. It would be a shame if it was happening simply because she was the wife of a known content creator.
what is there to hide from if you truly stand behind the opinions you express here?
This is my main (should be obvious from how almost every day my avatar is switching what it's wearing). I have no problems posting from it. I have yet to be harassed or had any unpleasant encounter as a result after 4 years. The most that has happened is the occasional player will say they recognize my name from the forums.
I figure if some psycho takes a forum argument into the game and starts harasssing me, it's an opportunity to rid the game of a psycho by reporting the encounter to the GMs. Most players aren't going to risk the ban. You're a lot more likely to get attacked on the subreddit, Twitter, etc. and since I don't post on those things, it won't be a problem for me.
Breaking news: dissenting opinions now classified as harassment, more at 11.
