I don't know if I'd give them that much credit with this decision though. I get that it was well-intentioned on their part, trying to give the most people what they want, but at the same time the dev team should have been well aware of the fact the community doesn't want anything to do with genderlocks. We literally went through this exact same situation with 1.0 and one of Yoshi's first real big achievements with ARR was undoing the genderlocks. So now we're supposed to applaud him for doing the same thing we applauded him for reversing originally?
I remember the excitement people had when they showed us the first male miqote character models back when ARR was in development. It was a huge, huge deal. Now... 6 years later we're supposed to grateful they're genderlocking the new races?
