Something occurred to me while listening to Rise and I'm gonna feel dumb if this was that obvious, but anyone notice the song acts as a constant loop in and of itself? The song starts with the "SONIC BOOM" and the end sounds really close to something like "Step back I'm about to hit you with a-". That sudden pause then proceeds the stall with the instrumental bit, then builds back up to the "SONIC BOOM", much like how the fight is its own loop of events.

So, the story behind these lyrics is pretty heavy. Short summary, the father dies, the mother, in her grief, starts taking it out on the daughter, who in turn prays to the goddess. The goddess commands her to kill her mother for disrupting the harmony. The daughter complies, killes her mother, and is then told to kill herself as well. Koji, you are savage.
