New Emotes you would like to see?

I would like a new emotion for races that have tails, for example an emotion for activation while sitting, races like Mi Kote will carefully comb their tails, the Au Ra race will have a gentle stroking of the tail.
In general, you got the idea, I think. Have a good mood everyone=^.^=

The spotlight dance move from Cruiserweight M1, conversely we also need the mess-up as well for dance offs please :D

Like /changepose. But changing the way your character runs.
Like... I love the way Midlander females run. I'm Au/Ra though I prefer this race. But sometimes when Au/Ras are running they look like they're holding in a poo. And that's like really not the vibe. So....
If you're offended -- you can punch me. It's ok
But it's my truth! Like. You need to bring /changerun. So we can run however we want.
What if there are men out there who don't want to run like other men?
Who want to run like a ballerina!
I for one would love to see a Male Roegadyn run like a female Midlander too.

Real hug and carry emote

Pretty sure there's still no emote for just lying down, are they afraid it will eat into cash shop play dead sales

Other Lean emotes. Ones that are more casual/ with less attitude or more "feminine"ish. One leg up, leaning on shoulder, Hand out with other on hip, etc.

The cute cross legged sit that merchant NPCs use for everyone's groundsit.

That classic japanese/anime squatting with a sparkler pose.

Eat/ show off FISH.

A proper Dig animation, with shovel/ clawing at the ground.

I would like more "flower shower" type emotes for various occasions. Like a bunch of leaves for autumn, candy for All Saints Wake, snow for winter/Starlight, confetti, glitter. It would be a really fun to have a bunch of different versions of it!

So, this came up in a conversation. Instead of making a new tread about it.

Is it possible to get updated /cry emote and /sad facial expression that gives the watery eyes effect that NPCs get in cutscenes?
A friend had wanted to do a crying screenshot but realized there was no tears or anything when they did the emote.

Cross arms emote that i see in cutscenes!! Is there one???

but seeing folks lying on the grass in section 9 annoyed me.

if an npc can do it in game we should be able to also.

(and yeah i know the thing that allows you do it. thats a thing tho not an in game actuality)

/pdead and /pushups exist, which allow you to depict something 10 times more graphic than just two people lying next to each other

It's known this isn't the case.

/sit and /doze are funky, they are proxy emotes that check nearby objects and will use one of two emotes, /sit checks for chairs, and either does /groundsit if none is found, or snap to a chair and sit on it if one is found, /doze works similarly with beds, the kicker is that it is possible to generate a glitched emote shortcut that will enable you to use chair /sit and bed /doze anywhere, bypassing the proxy nature of those emotes, if you ever seen anyone seemly sitting on a ledge, that's how they do it, meaning both of those are already accessible to players, you just need to get creative with it.

The likely reason we don't get them as real emotes is that at least chair /sit is incredibly prone to clipping, like horrendous clipping like your legs going through the floor, no idea why for bed /doze though.

both playdead and pushups are content locked.
playdead is mogstation and pushups are locked behind doing the GC stuff.
perhaps if they put lay behind something or in mogstation but doing such a simple emote like that in mogstation would potentially cause an uproar so theyd have to content lock it and currently unless they introduced an alliance quest where you have to fix up a spa and thats the emote in that - you are looking at alliance drops or Gold saucer

they dont seem to like locking things but equally seem to lock alot of stuff.

It’s a total pipe dream but I’d love to see something like FFXI’s job-specific emotes. Like Bard playing some instruments (though I guess that’s just the performance emote anyway), Scholars/Summoners posing with their fairy/carbuncle, Reaper aura farming with their uh, ghost thing (I don’t player reaper). Dragoons dramatically disappearing into the sky, Black Mages playing with fire (physically not metaphorically). They could do crafter ones too, like Alchemist pulling out and mixing solutions, or Carpenters pulling out a plank of wood and carefully inspecting it, Weavers threading their needles, idk. I just think it’d be neat (holds potato)

Technically we already have class/Job specific emotes with /battlestance and /victorypose, as it has a unique animation for each class and Job (and race and gender too, for that matter).

More is always welcome however!

I'm surprised this isn't yet a thing considering that the emote already exists and is used by our characters whenever we play Triple Triad.

Not nessisarily a new emote but I would love love love if some of the emotes we already have would get the option to become loopable. So many good emotes that would fit perfectly with a looped animation.

A drawing emote would be fun. Similar to the Pen emote, having a lil drawing one would be really cute and match well with Pictomancer!
