Critical engagements are no different from NM’s in eureka tho lol. They’re just blocked off.

We got two extra trials in SB. Yojimbo and rathalos ex. Unreal trials literally aren’t anything new. I would agree if they had at least done something to them whether it was a few new mechanics or what. But it’s literally just ARR trials scaled up... that isn’t new content. It’s like the relic quests just being to farm old content like crystal tower over and over. It’s boring and trying to rehash old content instead of coming up with something new.
ShB was just meh on job design wise and battle content wise, was great for crafting and gathering. So just a little disappointing in hindsight to SB, which overtime is being revalued and might surpass HW as the best xpac.
Then in that regard, eureka wasn't new. it was just fates. And HoH was just POTD with new pomanders (in your mind, it should be less content because its 100 less floors).
Rathalos was a crossover, and there wasn't an EX version for Gilgamesh.
Basically, we are arguing semantics and the content amounts were about equal.
There are only 2 more dungeons from 4.x than in 5.x. That's not vastly different.
No one cares.
That's what I said. They have bad intentions for the community and call the community toxic.
It's not on the same level. It's worse. Both sides are cynical, but one side also thinks some people are lying about their good experience.Quote:
Enjoying seeing people people who lie about the state of the community and who don't take any criticism of the game being faced with differing opinions, or worse, inconvenient truths about the game and its community and their reactions to their exposure to such vicious dissent, is not at all on the same level as basically saying "f off, we don't want you here you toxic pricks" towards an entire demographic while simultaneously claiming that XIV's playerbase is a paragon of acceptance.
It is overreaction because the community at large is not praising people sending death threats. So who are you memeing on when you say GCBTW? The community is not the problem here.
On the other hand, when people share their good experience, people like to celebrate that experience until someone inevitably comes along to point out that the community is not so good and to know about GCBTW.
That's the problem with GCBTW. The community obviously favors good interactions, but people want to credit bad behaviors to the community as well.
And let's consider the fact that this particular streamer also has haters from the WoW community. So it's not as if dislike toward him (or what he may potentially bring to the community) is unique to FFXIV. After all, there is some overlap between the FFXIV and the WoW communities.
Regardless, people who favor him joining the community (or neutral at best) show that this community is not united in wanting to keep him away.
