some crazy ideas because meh :U
Protect Burst: Sacrifice a party member's Protect buff to enhance their Physical/Magical defense by a moderate % for a short time duration.
Eather Road: Exchange positions of yourself and your pet, damage any enemy caught in between. Also usable while stunned, frozen, snared, fell asleep or paralyzed (?) (feel the power). Instant with long cooldown
Aloe Wind: Reduces all negative buff duration on target by 5~10 seconds. long cooldown
Shell: Cast a shell on a target(duh), blocks a negative buff from happening on said target, shell will decast after succesfully blocking a debuff. Last a short duration of time.

Some more plans - Mainly SCH
Luminous Soil - Prevents any detrimental status ailments inside an placed aoe (consumes 1 aetherflow stack, Sacred soil may not be up at the same time)
Aetherial Soil - Places an aoe that converts the received damage into MP-damage. If MP is not enough, the attack will consume that MP and deal the remaining damage to HP (consumes 1 aetherflow stack, Sacred soil may not be up at the same time)
Mad Scientist - Bestows a random buff to the target
Adrenaline - The more buffs the target has, the more it heals.
Faultsiphon - Self-Buff, automatically converts all casted shields from Adloquium or Succor into direct healing. No shield is applied with the buff on. CD like Presence of Mind.

I don't know if any idea like this has been mentioned in the past 27 pages, so I apologize if it has.
Given how the CNJ quest revolves around striking balance between the elements and making use of all the elements at your disposal, I think it would be cool if CNJs got a trait called Elemental Synergy (or something to that effect).
The trait would give a stacking buff that boosts to the next spell cast that doesn't match the elemental affinity of the previous spell(s). The affinities being:
Wind = Aero, Aero II, Cure, Cure II, Cure III, Medica, Medica II
Earth = Stone, Stone II, Stoneskin
Water = Esuna, Fluid Aura
Every time you cast a spell within the same element, it grants a stacking buff that gives a 2% potency boost to the next spell that isn't aligned with that element. This trait caps at five stacks (10% boost)
So, if a CNJ/WHM casts Aero + Aero II, that grants a 4% boost to the next non-wind spell cast.
Regen, Holy, and Benediction would be exempt from getting boosted and boosting other spells with this trait as they are White Mage abilities, and not specifically aligned with any element.
Just figured it'd be something neat to encourage CNJs/WHMs to diversify their play skill for maximum effect.
[EDIT] Apaprently Cure/Medica spells are wind in nature (they have a green aura) - adjusted affinity list to suit.
Doesn't leave much room for Water spells, looking at it.

Scholar here. Selene's silence is essentially useless. I propose swapping selene's silence with my sacred soil. Therefore I can cast silence instantly and have real use. As for selene, she will cast sacred soil at her current location, centered on her. It would push the player to control the fairy manually and place it, which is preferred anyways. Gives more reason to use selene other then just for haste, and provides some strategy: use eos for aoe healing and 20% magic defense buff, or 10% defense for everything and haste.
I would like a skill to refresh the cooldowns on a summon
I would like both selene's hastes to be able to stay up at the same time
I would like shadow flare to be able to stay up while sacred soil is up
Edit:
I want a shield you can cast on a player that is similar to Adloquium. It will be stronger then Adlo but is for a single player. Must be channeled. Disappears when you stop channelling. Taking damage drains the shield, but continuous channelling builds it back up. The idea is to save players that have resurrection sickness, because they die easily. The scholar can do no other action while channelling, meaning that you must rely on the other healer in 8 man content to heal the other 7 people. Heavy mp cost, because of its incredible strength, and because a scholar can take it.

I want to see Embrava and Kaustra

Holy II! Bigger, brighter, more eye goring than ever!
If anyone walks out of the party without permanent eye damaging its not good enough.

Offensive-wise for WHM, I'd like to see Banish or Tornado (With a tertiary wind dmg debuff: probably windburn) for obvious reasons. The animations are already in the game, so wouldn't be that difficult to implement.
Healing-wise: maybe a buff which increases healing range of curative magic. I can name a few fights where annoyingly a party member has gone a little too far out of range for healing.
ReRaise would be good also. But with a long cooldown so it can't be abused in battle.

I'd like to see a Re-Raise ability for one of the Healers. I'd actually prefer it to be on AST. With a lengthy 5min CD, if someone dies within 10 seconds of it being used on them, they get back up at Full Health. I'd also like to get the Haste Buff, which I also think the AST will end up getting with how Square has been talking about the FFXI Haste and Spell/Skill Speed changes. I wouldn't mind seeing the White Mage getting an AoE Esuna. For the Scholar, I don't really know what I want. I find the class awesome as it is.
