VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

Just so people dont think I'm fanboi'ing for SE, its still pathetic that hrothgar have to pay real money to change their hair. No excuse.

We don't really have to anymore, unless we want to get a basic hairstyle from another head shape, because this would require a different head. (Because making all basic hairstyles available to all heads is still too much to ask I guess.) At least that's something. Still horrible it took so long for this change to happen.

Trust me when I say, that is absolutely not the case. Most "logical" answer is they want to do it all in one batch with Hrothgar/FHrothgar and Viera when it's all caught up with other races.. but even that is huffing massive copium.

The new style is here! I am so happy to see it is available from the start for both Viera and Hrothgar. Here are some pictures that I took of my retainer with the new hair (used a retainer Fantasia to get the bun bun shots)

I think the hair actually can work on female viera, but male viera... yeah, no. Might take some work, and the right features/face though. I wish we could get some actual new hairs. Long ones would be nice. :o

I'm not sure if it's just me being nitpicky, but I think the reason why many hairstyles (even their default racial ones) don't look good on Viera is because the gap between their face and the hair makes it so much more noticeable that they're completely smooth on the sides and nape*, and thus making the hairstyles look like wigs. Vieras are actually bald!

*Do Miqos have this problem? I know some hairstyles are edited to include extra 'fur' patches to the sides to avoid this very issue, and I assume Au Ra don't because of their scales covering most of their necks anyway

I mean this as respectfully as possible, this game makes plenty of money, this is laziness because we allowed the devs to take a foot and they've stolen a mile. No cool new hairstyles either, not unique to viera/hroth at least. So what's the point?

The only new races they've added in the last 2 xpacks now can't wear hats. The only new race we are getting for 7.0 is Fem Hroth and I highly doubt any of this will be fixed either. It will be 3 xpacks of new models they can just forget the head slot for and we are supposed to thank them.

It's annoying and I will come back to the forums to bump this thread and remind everyon every single patch that this happens in. Every new content update has more and more content that is just gated from people who play viera or hroth and the devs only response is to ask that people pay real money to change races.

Another patch, another hairstyle which looks awful on anyone but Hrothgar.
A nice change of pace after years of neglect.
